YESSSSSS!!! THE LIST TAKETH AND THE LIST GIVETH!!! What an album full of taste. The first 4 tracks are all absolute bangers. The bass on Your Racist Friend is rad. Particle Man & We Want A Rock also incredible. Women & Men is an anthem.

One of the best to ever do it. While this isn't my personal favorite TMBG album I definitely get why it's their biggest one. It's just fantastic from front to back.

This album is a fun trip through some zany tunes. This is as good as Lincoln. The weird thing about TMBG is that they actually tackle some serious, dark topics, but they do it with such glibness that many people don't take their songs seriously. I find this paradox to be the duo's strength. They really make me stop and listen, but at the same time I can just sing along and feel happy singing some dark lines like "I lost my lucky ball and chain...and now I rock the bar stool...I thought I was so cool...I just stood there whistling 'there goes the bride' as she walked out the door". Also, "Minimum Wage" might just be the most scathingly satirical song ever written.

Hey, this is definitely more deserving than Join Us being on here, no diss to that album of course, but this is just iconic. I think Lincoln is still their best, but this is the album that's obviously missing from the OG list, especially considering it actually had hits, and good ones at that! Still can't tell the Johns apart, though. Oh, how I've tried... anyway, good pick!

A blast with (almost) all their most famous songs.

I was nervous going into this one. TMBG is one of the major fathers of quirky nerd music, and I’ve been lukewarm at best on most of the other quirky nerd music that people have been sending in. It's actually a pretty big nostalgia album from my youth, but I hadn't put it on in over 15 years.
I think ultimately it’s held up pretty well, but I can sort of feel the strain of how my taste has changed over the years. There’s a handful of all-time great songs on here, but they’re separated by deserts of throwaway tracks, and it feels like there’s not a ton of intention or craft in the sequencing. Fun trip down memory lane, though.

This really is a good fun rock album, deserves to be on the list.
