Breathy, childlike vocals over folky guitar tokkeling. Unfortunate to listen to, and I say that as someone who's generally all for including lesser known albums on a list like this.

This is clearly the kind of record built to divide people, and reviews on here confirm as much, some hear haunting charm, others hear the Shaggs on a bad day. I'm firmly in the second camp.

Two stars in general. One star for its place on this list.

Delicate and fragile, with a couple of heartbreaking songs about losing people. Sounds much older than 2003, presumably on purpose. Charmingly childlike innocence, which didn't grate as much as I worried it might. It's kind of hard to believe this ever got a proper, wide, well-supported release - and maybe it didn't - but it was an interesting one i would never have heard without the suggestion. Thanks!

I'll give it that it's unique earnest and vulnerable. And it certainly wasn't boring. I'm glad it exists, but I can only rate it for myself and not some hypothetical person. I'm in the crowd that finds the voice grating. I'm very much over songs that feel written by a child and never edited.

Toughest listen in a minute. Musically it sounds like a bunch of unfinished demos, lyrically most of these feel like throwaways, and I really, really, really dislike the raspy whisper singing. All of these songs are pretty short, and each one felt like it lasted an eternity.

Can’t escape the feeling that there’s an underlying joke here that I’m not quite in on, but end of the day this *started* grating, and never let up as it went on

Didn’t do it for me
