Rated 4/10

Prince Daddy & The Hyena is an alternative rock album that doesn't really bring anything new. Ni fu ni fa, as the Spanish idiom I see used on this site a lot goes.

A second and third listen didn't help. Some songs started to annoy me, "El Dorado" most of all, mostly because it's so mediocre and middle of the road.

Rated 4/10

Too poppy for me, I would prefer a bit more of an edge. As punk for children, it has a place, it just won't be in my list (if I ever get round to writing it)

Rated 5/10

Emo-inflected modern day punk's a pretty big ask for me. Not a lot in that genre space that I like very much. Given all that, this wasn't so bad. Kind a gave me the same feeling as that Ty Segal from earlier.

Rated 6/10

I found this quite interesting, but there wasn’t really anything that stood out enough for me to get particularly excited about it. I actually preferred the more mellow, poppier songs to the more aggressive punk parts, which probably says something about where my tastes lie. There are some good moments, but overall I found it a bit unremarkable. I was swaying between a 2 and 3, but I think it just about gets the 3.
