Rated 6/10
Another example of a well executed album by a talented musician that didn't really vibe with me. A low three, but i recognize the quality.

I listened to some of Sampha's earlier stuff but not this one. It's fun. He has a good voice and the laid back instrumentals complement it well. It's doesn't really do anything super original or notable though.

This is really cool. requires a revisit.

A bit Bon Iver-adjacent, for lack of better reference points? Little bit floaty ambient. Inoffensive, but not groundbreaking.

Big fan of Samphas debut, not sure why Iv not listened to this one before, it’s also very good.

I preferred his first album, but enjoyed this as well. Works as background music while studying etc, but with enough depth for more focused listening too.
Lovely vocals, great guests, and perfect production.
A cracker of a nomination.

This album feels like it's building up towards something that never quite pays off.
