Rated 6/10

Fun mix of uptempo beats and styles from old school boom bap hip hop with dj scratching to dub/reggae/dancehall thump with toasted verses, to hard hitting break beats and rock adjacent electronica ala chemical brothers or prodigy. Overlong but an good hang - party music for driving, movie montages, or getting chores done.

Rated 8/10

Started strong, some nice bops, but I was bored by the end

Rated 6/10

Now I know how people feel when they listen to my contribution to this list (How To Operate With A Blown Mind by Lo-Fidelity Allstars). This is pretty good, it has genuine urban character and it's great fun. But, as with Lo-Fis, its let down by a flatness in the mix. It feels like dance music underwent a seismic shift in the early-2000s (especially house and techno) into much more sonically dynamic and experimental form.

Rated 6/10

Blast from the past, but a little too much of the same.

Rated 8/10

Definitely feels a bit dated but it's still really fun. Breakbeat is just a great vibe.

Eh, ei oo aika ollut kovin kohtelias tälle. 3/5 nyt kumminkin

Rated 5/10

After going through the original list, "...the debut album by the English electronic group..." is a traumatizing series of words to see on a 90s entry, but thankfully this one's from the *late* 90s, meaning it's a little bit funky, a little bit whacky, and sounds like it was made by cartoon characters.

Horribly dated, but that's what's kind of charming about it.

Rated 6/10

Pretty solid background music. Nice beats, just suffers as all electronic music does by having way too long of a runtime.

Favorite songs: Ruffneck, Don't Stop, Freestyle Noize, Dancehall Vibes, We Rock Hard, Here We Go, Breaker Beats (Pts. 1 & 2)

Least favorite songs: Scratch 22 (Jay-Rock's Theme)

3/5

Didn’t hate this, but just got
A bit long and repetitive

Rated 6/10

Kinda stuck in its immediate past.
