Liian pitkä, muuten lähinnä ok. On siinä omat hetkensä. 3/5

Rated 4/10

Three songs in, I was ready to give this a solid four stars. By the end of the first disc, it was a three. By the time I'd slogged my way through all 90 minutes, it had worn out its welcome.

Rated 8/10

Maybe I was just getting warmed up or something, but I found the first disc so-so and the second disc borderline miraculous (especially "Dirty Boy").

Rated 6/10

This sounds like a Clown slowly losing his mind. It's like a mix of prog and psychadelic rock.

This is a weird album, and it's horribly British. Like British weird is different than American weird. British weird is more refined. More palatable. I can usually tolerate British weird better than American weird. American weird is where we get things like fucking noise rock and shit. British weird is where we get stuff like excessive kazoo work or strong Renaissance feels from.

This sounds like if Noel Fielding was told to make a record. And, of course, because this album is weird, it is also almost 90 mins long. But it doesnt feel like a slog to get through. It's a trip. Same vein as Captain Beefheart.

Favourite songs: Fiery Gun Hand, Manhoo, Insect Hoofs on Lassie, A Horse's Tail, Bell Stinks, Bell Clinks

Least favourite songs: Eden on the Air, Quiet as a Mouse

Wow this is really annoying sounding and the album cover is creepy and off-putting. Not into it at all.

Rated 6/10

Kind of funny considering their first album in twenty-six years just released a couple weeks ago. Cardiacs certainly has some good songs, some of them are on this very album, but man if they are not too much for me. After a while of their music my eyes start glazing over and I just get bored. Talented musically, and always creative, but only sometimes my cup of tea.

Rated 8/10

Had to give it a couple listens to get my head around it, but also it deserved those listens. Overstuffed in a good way, but also weirdly bouncy the entire time, like if I let go for even a second, the entire thing would float away into the sky

Rated 2/10

What is this trash? See Eat It Up Worms Hero. This is like a goofy carnival hosted by a stadium rock version of The Smurfs. Why do their vocals sound like that? and that's side 1. Side Two starts with Dirty Boy doing more of the same and boy is that ending vocal harmony held forever. Nurses Whispering Versus is actually a song I can get down with. Wow I am happy that is over.

Rated 8/10

An interesting choice, which links (through former member Bic Hayes) to one of my favourite albums (Dark Star - Twenty Twenty Sound).
I was entirely unaware of this when it was released, even though I was a music obsessed teenager from the same island as them - they didn't get much (if any) radio play, but probably shouldn't have.

Rated 2/10

Overrated.

Rated 4/10

All just felt a bit chaotic, maybe jsut wasn’t in the mood for this today. I’m sure if I gave this time I might learn to love it.
