Amazing album, None bad.
This album is so good. You know it's good when every song is great.
I think Restless Farewell and Boots Of Spanish Leather are extremely underrated and are definitely in his best songs list. While i love the title track, it's a little overrated because the previously mentioned Boots Of Spanish Leather and With God On Our Side are better imo.
The fact he went from his Debut to Freewheelin' to THIS is just insanity and i don't know how someone could do it that easily. The best and quickest redemption arc in music history.
Great. GREAT album that is just absolutely amazing.
NEED TO HEAR RATING: NEED TO HEAR
Best song: With God On Our Side
Worst song: Restless Farewell
Underrated: One Too Many Mornings
Rated 6/10
Bob Dylan goes political, even more so than usual, which means the album topics miss me even more so than usual. That being said, it's Bob Dylan for Pete's sake!
The opener is a universal classic of change on the social and economic level, while the rest is powerful poetry mostly about crisis-filled times sung by a master in the making who is slowly seeing the world for what it truly is: a dying place filled with hate, confusion, and sadness ran by double-faced heathens who take control of people who know no better.
Oh, by the way, looking at the album content and its highly socially charged lyrics, one can say the album aged well, but sadly, it aged poorly as well. Makes you think about the human nature which never changes.

Not nearly as good as the album that comes before it, this highly political album is like Dylan taking a deep breath as he looks around himself and takes stock, realizing that he and the rest of the world aren’t dead, nuked in an atomic holocaust caused by the Cuban Missile Crisis.
