Excitable Boy

I'd only previously heard Werewolves of London which is a good catchy song. But the rest of this album is pretty great too - some enjoyable songwriting here.

I cannot thank whoever put this on here enough. I heard "Werewolves of London" on the radio last week and it got stuck in my head, and I've been trying to get a track ID ever since. I thought it was a Roxy Music song because there is one that is remarkably similar. I sort of gave up looking for it, but here it is! And it's a wolf moon here in the UK at the moment.

OK: so update. I wrote this yesterday while I was listening to the album, and then watched Pat Finnerty's video on the Kid Rock song that samples "Werewolves of London." Which I thought was even more weird, but then I realised that he plays the Kid Rock song on other episodes that I'd previously watched, which might explain why the song was so stuck in my head.

Genius insanity, with Werewolves of London not even the best track!

You'd think with me playing piano most of my life I'd like piano rock more. But, you'd be wrong. I think? Jury may or may not still be out. Schrödinger's Jury. If I don't listen to more piano rock, I'll never truly know, and it's better that way.

Dude who was upset about this album is probably butt hurt because Werewolves of London didn't end up being All Summer Long by Kid Rock. Settle down.

A fantastic album from an artist that, I feel, didn't get enough recognition. This is some good shit!!

Favorite songs: Werewolves of London, I Need a Truck, Johnny Strikes Up the Band, Nighttime in the Switching Yard, Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner, Excitable Boy, Veracruz, "Lawyers, Guns and Money"

Least favorite songs: none. A gem of an album

5/5

Also.....it even smells like oatmeal......and The Bends DOES deserve a 1

Had a few bad albums in a row on the user list, so this was a nice surprise. Was familiar with the werewolves song, but the rest of the album is also great, good pick.
