EDIT: I originally gave this album a 2, which the below review reflects. I have edited to update my thoughts.

I really don't have anything to say about this, it's a very middle of the road alt rock album. There's decent songwriting in here but it's pretty generic. It's also over an hour long and I started tuning it out about two-thirds of the way through.

EDIT: There's actually some quality songwriting in the first half of the album, I think if the length was halved this might be considered a classic, but unfortunately a good half of the album feels like filler.

Should it be in the main list: No

Top 3 songs: "Salesmen, Cheats, and Liars", "Rosy and Grey", "For the Hand of Magdelena"

Rated 4/10

Perfectly serviceable Canadian alt-rock from 1991, a year that produced thousands of albums in exactly this style, of which at least half of them were more interesting than this one. Not horrible, not outstanding, completely forgettable. I don't blame the band. I blame the submitter for thinking this should be submitted to the 1001-album list

Aika geneeriseksi jäävä rock-platta

I wish the site made it a little easier to view, search, and sort albums by Country of Origin, because I *suspect* I'm forming a grudge against Canadian Alt-Rock, but I can't be 100% sure. I just really need to know if it's actually an unbroken streak of 3-stars "it was fine" reviews from me.

Anyway, this is road trip music for yuppies, and I guess that's alright. Inoffensive, even fun at parts, but I'm not going to be thinking of this again soon, unless someone unexpectedly invites me to go fishing

Someone definitely put this on here out of Canadian pride rather than any particular merit I think. It's enjoyable and catchy and I did enjoy listening to it but it sounds like 1000 other albums. It's also way too long for what it is.

Fine, but forgettable

Rated 4/10

Would have loved this in the 90’s but feel this will be one of those albums iv forgot all about next week.
