Time Out For Toots

Don't let the rating fool you, this album is a fine piece of music. Toots soothes the soul with his harmonica playing, which is in my opinion, a very underutilized instrument in jazz. His guitar playing on some tracks is also good. Also, the rest of the cast, Kenny Drew on piano, Art Taylor on drums and Wilbur Ware on bass follow Toots very nicely, gelling with him very well, with everyone having the spotlight shining on them at one point or another. Recommended for anyone who doesn't know what they want to play on a cold winter morning.
