Moments of husky, passionate singing similar to Ribeiro woven in with high, sweet, pastoral vocalizations that are the antithesis of their earthy counterpoints. Freaky but not frightening, as this album strays more into avant territory and doesn't explore too much the traditional roots of the folk. However, following what I have come to understand is a theme that, though rare, is still common enough in folk traditions to raise an eyebrow or two, Andrtová-Voňková sings at one point of an incestuous mother-son relationship. Some great, warm acoustic guitar work here that lets you get comfortable before running its nails down the strings.
