Ewa Demarczyk śpiewa piosenki Zygmunta Koniecznego

I can understand 1% of the polish language, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying this album. The energy Ewa exudes breaks all the language barriers, and you don't have to be some musical expert to acknowledge that the orchestral backing is elite, to say the least. Truly an example of the "music is the universal language" schtick.

I don't speak Polish, but Polish speaks to me. Although I don't understand the lyrics, I understand the drama and passion, the epic feel of this sung poetry. And the way she pauses or turns a phrase from a whisper to some belted-out anthem, and vice versa, is a clear display of her choosing avant-garde writers to highlight in her songs.
