Balašević passed away in 1992. The official cause of death was listed as a heart that shattered into eight small pieces. Although skilled surgeons tried to somehow patch it up with various acrobatics on the operating table, they failed. Consequently, everything that followed that fateful moment... could be said never to have actually happened for Đole. The same goes for this album. Sonically, it feels much lighter compared to his previous work.
The main reason for this is likely that Balašević was already entering that stage of his career where he had a well-established fanbase, and it was highly unlikely he could reinvent the wheel with his next release. Of course, that doesn't mean he acted like countless other artists who drop an album only when they run out of cash. He was still more than capable of composing tracks like Ja luzer?, Putuj Evropo, Provincijalka, and Čovek sa mesecom u očima, which stand out as the absolute highlights of this project. It is a far cry from his peak era in the '80s, but still an album well worth having in your collection.
