This wonderful album starts as a lively dance on the fairground green before delving into the sadness of the valley of Strathmore, therein exploring all its attendant woes. Is there any worse thing in human suffering than regret? This album can lift me up just as easily as it drags me down, and yet there is a sweetness and beauty both in the heights of celebration and the depths of despair.
