Kind of sucks...not my jam. 1.5/5

Monipuolinen ja War Pigs on kova stygä!

Rated 8/10

Grew up on this and Angel Dust in junior high/high school. I may not like some of the things that spawned in its wake, but this is some seriously original genre bending metal, especially for its time. One thing that I don't love is that some of the synth tones are so dated/out of the box, but in a way it's charming because it brings you back to that very particular time period. Mike Patton's voice is definitely their greatest instrument. He convinces you he is completely unhinged at times, yet what he is doing technically assures you he is in absolute control. Though I prefer Patton's more experimental work with Mr Bungle, etc., this still will always work for me due to nostalgia.

Good, and with a couple of really well known (and really good) tracks, but patchy and inconsistent later on.
The Black Sabbath cover and the instrumental seem pretty unnecessary, perhaps even self-indulgent

Rated 8/10

Being late 80's funk metal not all of this has aged well, but it stands up suprisingly well. Not my favourite FNM but still bangs.

Rated 4/10

In the no-man's land between metal, soft rock, and grunge. Utterly cringey in places.

Rated 8/10

Singing this album from front to back. It's one of my youth favourites.
From Out Of Nowhere grabbed me the first time I heard it.

It's album 3 of the band that was still growing. Album 4 was their masterpiece.

Rated 6/10

Idiots in my high school liked this album when it came out. Just listen to Mr. Bungle, which is far more interesting.

Rated 8/10

Epic is clearly the, well, epic track here, but a great example of the beginning of the "nu-metal" / rock & hip-hop cross over genre.

Rated 4/10

I liked this album when I was younger but it's definitely aged a bit poorly.

the first punk record so far! actually its got a more stadium heavy/alt metal feel. great cover of war pigs. its just not really my jam, its just too close to bad religion without actually being bad religion. like the mass market version
