Don't think I've ever listened to any 2Pac before now. And unlikely to do so again. Based on reputation alone I was expecting so much more from this but it came across as the most generic "hey baby, you're fine" 90s R&B imaginable. I have no doubt plenty of guys got lucky from playing this after a 3rd date, but..................... it's a no for me Clive.

Nothing really hooked me or drew me in here; it felt flat and overlong. You do get a sense of Tupac's magnetic charisma and his troubled life, but there are no tunes to carry it.
Rated 6/10
Not a huge 2Pac fan, but this is one of his best, and a plus it’s a lot shorter than all eyes on me. Which is a plus in my eyes. Deserves to be on the list.

En tiedä olinko koskaan kuunnellut kokonaista levyä 2Pacia. Ihan jees, ja ymmärrän legendaarisen statuksen mut en vielä ihan päässy sisään.

The title track is a huge hit. Too Many Tears is also really introspective and fresh sounding. Heavy In The Game and Lord Knows are both songs I enjoy. This album is a no holds bared look into Tupac, similar in vision to Biggie's Ready To Die. Outlaw I am not too enthused about.

Classic rap and probably 2Pac's peak. Mixing his style with G-funk works so well.
Rated 5/10
2pac’s another Huge name who’s a blind spot for me. I really need to revisit this one; I basically can’t retain lyrics unless I’m literally reading them along to the music, and I wasn’t able to do that when I was playing this.
Rated 6/10
A high lyrical quality on this album, like NAS on Illmatic, from deeper like So Many Tears to straight up Gangsta. Tupacs technique might not be the best, but his delivery is amazing. And I can now see why he's regarded as one of the greatest.
The beats on the other hand are relaxed but simple. Some would say effective, but they don't do anything for me.
Rated 8/10
Really enjoyed this, only knew a couple of songs beforehand. If I die tonight, fuck the world and, of course, dear mama are standouts.
Rated 4/10
Se deja escuchar, pero incluso gustándome más o menos el Rap y el Hip-Hop no ha sido este un disco para tener como imprescindible. Está bien "Dear Mama".
Rated 6/10
I absolutely respect his effort to get more reflective and even somewhat sensitive in-between the swagger, but the beats are so weak! It's like a movie with a good story but terrible cinematography. So much heart but no atmosphere. Never been a huge fan of the west coast g-funk sound with all the glissando on the synths. I really respect "Dear Mama" though, and I think it's a standout, perhaps because the track is a little more stripped down and seems to foreground his voice in a way that the other tracks don't.
