I feel that up until this point, the albums have shown a gradual fading of the music, the lack of music, but with this one, the focus isn't on the lack of something but rather the presence of something else. The music is replaced by noise, memory by madness. It's no longer the losing of one's mind but rather replacing a sane mind with an insane one, but one lost to such utter confusion that one cannot--as one did at the beginning stages--even conceive of the madness. What makes this one so frightening is how the music will pop back up for three or four seconds before being replaced by noise for several minutes, showing what used to be and can never be again.
