Ahh yes, the Simon & Garfunkel album where it looks like Art Garfunkel has an enormous handlebar moustache lol. This album is actually really solid! Baby Driver, The Boxer, Cecilia....what's not to love... Simon & Garfunkel are hipster fuel though.
Favourite songs: Baby Driver, Cecilia, The Boxer
Least favourite songs: "So Long, Frank Lloyd Wright"

Classic song writing.
Rated 4/10
Some nice songwriting but not that exciting

Nett.
Rated 8/10
A couple corny songs but for the most part this album was great.
Rated 8/10
Honestly, It's a shame Simon & Garfunkel broke up after this album because they brought their A game with Bridge Over Troubled Water. Everything in this album is absolutely sublime from the vocals, the music, and the lyrics being absolutely great. This album never lost the signature Simon & Garfunkel sound but made all the necessary improvements to make it the great album it is. This album also runs at the perfect pace being fast-paced and fun throughout. This album might not be perfect but it is clear that Simon & Garfunkel went out with a bang.
Best Song: Bridge Over Troubled Water
Worst Song: The Boxer
(Side note: As another reviewer pointed out, yes, you can give Simon a beard by covering Garfunkel's face and yes, it is funny)
(Second Side Note: Since this is my last Simon & Garfunkel, I thought it would be necessary to rank all of their albums so here you go,
1. Bridge Over Troubled Water
2. Bookends
3. Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme)

Et af de covers jeg set mange gange, men ikke har fået hørt. Sangene er fine og ganske forskelligartede.

Grew up with this in the background. Have a deep love for this album still. Only living boy in new york still sounds like a choir of angels to me.
Rated 10/10
It’s that good, I’m gonna buy it on vinyl :)
Rated 6/10
Can't really focus on this enough to care. It's not offensive, but it's just such "background music in a dentist's office" that my mind does everything it can to push it out of the forefront of thought. Better than Simon's solo drivel in my opinion, but nothing I can get excited about either for or against.

Now this is a classic. Lots of good songs on here. Love it.

Slightly overrated. But has my fav S&G song (only living boy). 3/5
Rated 8/10
Individually, there are many great tracks - plenty of emotion and nostalgia - but does it flow together as an album, I'm not so sure, feels a bit up & down between tracks. Still, those standout tracks are gold!
Rated 10/10
They saved their best for last. Not a wasted note, in my opinion. Perfection.

Love this album. 4.5. Reminds me of dad/childhood.

every song sublime

My first album on the 1001 Album journey, and what a lovely album to start this adventure with.
Though I had never listened to this album start to finish, most of the songs were familiar to me as this album contains, easily, 4 all-time classic songs from the '70s.
One thing I am certain of is that, once I ask my children to listen to the album and rate it, they will most likely give it between 2 or 3 starts, as the sounds on this album are probably not apt to the "modern" ear.
Rated 10/10
So many classics on this one. I'd never heard their version of BOTW, and it gave me chills, and I was only 2/3 through the song. As I continued listening to this album, almost every song was excellent, and I feel like the ones I didn't love right away would just take a few more listens. Top to bottom wonderful.
Highlights: bridge over troubled water, el condor pasa, cecilia, the boxer, the only living boy in new york (harmonies!)
Rated 2/10
it really sucks. The Boxer is tolerable, the rest is just unlistenable 60s flower child ukulele bullshit.
Rated 8/10
might be a 5 bc I don't think there's a miss? (maybe Baby Driver?) - will revisit this
