WIld Planet is at the same time better and worse that the predecessor. It's more musically sound, with it being more rooted in the punk that surrounded it at the time, but at the same time it loses a bit of the charm it had with the mysterious and fictive aura their debut had.
Still, it has enough of the charm lingering to make it very good and enjoyable. Dare I say buy worthy? Private Idaho is great, and a classic, and Give Me Back My Man gives a darker aura to the album, while Strobe Light is punk done well.

Fun and different!

Great fun! I think 53 Miles West of Venus is my favourite B-52's song.

YESSSSSSSSSSS! ~SURPRISE~!!!!!!! Some great hits on this like Party Out Of Bounds, Quiche Lorraine, and Private Idaho.

The original list had their debut on it, which I think was both the right amount and the right choice of album for them. That said, I mean come on, it's the B-52's, they're a great time. I'm happy someone submitted this one.

Rock on

Great fun, infectious hooks, nonsense lyrics (most of the time), an absolute joy of an album

Sorry one b52’s album was enough for me.

I think I enjoy this more than their debut. 3.5 up to 4.
