Honestly, the biggest surprise was finding out this was her first album. No teen pop forays following her "Friday" blow-up. Also, finding out she's only 25. It feels like she's been around here for an eternity.
Anyways, her debut feels like the rest of the pop fodder that exists in this day's music scene. As someone pointed out, very algorithmic and boring. But not horrible and ear bleed-inducing. Sorta like a watered-down Nelly Furtado. God, I miss her.
