The emperor has no clothes. Anyone claiming to enjoy this needs serious help. Total toilet.

When will the British be held accountable for their crimes

Rated 2/10

I’d heard a few songs by The Streets before and thought I didn’t mind them, but I can’t do a whole album. In fairness, this isn’t a style of music I listen to much anyway and I know people who love this. It’s just not for me.

Rated 4/10

Min umiddelbare er «kult, skranglete britisk hiphop», men går til å bare være slitsomt. «Fit But You Know It» kunne vært en Gorillaz-demo, og egentlig bærer hele plata preg av at det enda er på demostadiet.

Rated 4/10

I listened to the first Streets album when it came out. Based on that experience, I skipped every subsequent Streets release. That was the correct choice.

Rated 2/10

The album has a funny storytelling and it is interesting at times but how this album could deserve inclusion in a list such as this one is beyond me.

5/10 [DROP]

I thought I might be in trouble when all Wikipedia had to say about this was "it is on the 1001 albums list."

How so many people thought this was a 5 (the best possible rating) is really puzzling.

Rated 2/10

Favorite track(s): an album that left me truly flabbergasted as to its widespread critical and commercial success. I can't say I wasn't entertained, I was laughing damn near the whole way through.

"Are you smoking crack or something? We cannot have that behavior in this establishment."

Rated 2/10

Pretty boring. The beats were generic and the flow was terrible.

Most of the time he was just talking.

YES! I’ve been waiting for this one!
This is how much joy this album gives me- I recently purchased tickets to fly across the Atlantic Ocean to hear it performed live later this year. All of my children can probably sing it start to finish. Which of course is the only real way this album should ever be approached- in its entirety so you can get the entire saga. Makes me laugh every time, apart from Dry Your Eyes, which makes me cry it’s so beautiful. Truly the most honest breakup song ever written. The story of Mike growing up, God love him…
Can you tell I love this album??

Rated 6/10

I liked this more when it came out than I do now, I think. I would have put Original Pirate Material on the list over this. Still, there are bits that work. Really well; I like Blinded by the Lights.

Rated 2/10

This sounds like a demo tape some kids made when they were 13. The rapping is all end rhymes and extremely basic. He literally rhymes money with funny. And the hooks asker laughably bad. Is this supposed to be like the shags where it’s so bad it’s good or this is what passes for good hip hop in the UK?

Rated 10/10

Was für ein geiles Konzeptalbum. Ich versteh warum man es hassen mag. Aber ich liebe die Beats und die britische Stimme. The Streets auch teilweise Influenz für Enter: Shikari. Fit but you know it war damals auf FIFA 2005, welches ich gesuchtet habe.
Blinded by the Lights und Dry your eyes auch richtig coole Songs.

Rated 4/10

A day in the life of a true Brexit geezer. Least charismatic performance of a somewhat funny story. The flows just aren’t there and the hooks are mostly uninteresting.

Rated 4/10

Mike Skinner isn’t the strongest rapper among the artists in the 1001 Albums book, and his delivery can feel flat or awkward across a full record. Still, the concept — a loose narrative about the mysterious loss of £1000 and the unraveling of everyday life around it — is clever and gives the album a unique angle. The storytelling stands out more than the actual performances, making the idea more memorable than the execution.

Rated 4/10

Why does this sound like if Eggsy from Kingsman: The Secret Service made an album

Rated 4/10

Good idea poorly executed. My first impression was WHAT THE HELL? I really don't have much to say about this. Definitely sounds like it was made in someone's bedroom.

Rated 4/10

The ability for this list to have both some of the greatest hip hop ever created and the worst all at the same time is impressive. It really is a spoken word album not a hip-hop album.

I’ll give the album credit through- If you give it a listen the storytelling is well done. That’s the only redemption.

Rated 6/10

really tough one. overall didn't enjoy myself too much listening, but i see something in there. without a doubt special, but maybe not the good kind.

Rated 4/10

Hard pass for me. British rap just isn’t my thing, and this guys delivery is especially terrible
