I would say The Wu-Tang Clan took sampling notes from these guys! This is some pretty solid house/trip hop. Not streaming anywhere that I could find, but thankfully YouTube had the full album.

These guys are a goth rock/psychobilly (rockabilly crossed with punk) band from the 80's. I wonder if Gord Downie drew some influence from them? The singers vocal delivery reminds me so much of the Hip (especially in the song Zombie Dance). I find that stuff neat...finding out what influences artists had... This dude also sounds exactly like the lead singer of the Trashmen when you listen to the song The Mad Daddy. Overall, I really enjoyed this one! Really solid feel good music!

Favorite songs: Zombie Dance, I Was a Teenage Werewolf, Rock on the Moon, What's Behind the Mask, Strychnine, Fever

Dude sings like he has a bunch of marbles in his mouth. No trouble to tell this dude played all instruments himself. Shitty music, worse singing. From the wiki article on the album:

Described as "one of the most harrowing documents of pain and confusion ever made", the album was recorded after Spence had spent six months in Bellevue Hospital. Spence had been committed to Bellevue following a delusion-driven attempt to attack Moby Grape bandmates Don Stevenson and Jerry Miller with a fire axe.

Does that sound like an important album? No, it's a pile. Dimnery with another dinger.

Moby is like jam band Fatboy Slim. He meanders a lot more. This album is great, but the second half of the album really fell off (after Natural Blues).

This album is wild. It's all over the place. From jazz/lounge music to rock to someone narrating a hilarious short story (Vermillion Kisses). When listening to the album, The Sweetest Embrace came on and I immediately recognized Nick Cave's voice as the singer.

Overall, really solid album. At first, I didn't think I would like it, but it is just fucked up enough to be interesting. Usually these albums that are "soundtracks for movies that don't exist" kinda lose something, but this is great. Also...with a first song on the album being called "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Pelvis", how can you go wrong, lol. Talk about setting a tone for the rest of the album, lol

Suffers a bit from being too long winded. I lost interest after a while, but Stevie's music is fantastic all the same!
