Every time I hear Anarchy in the UK, it reminds me of playing Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 in high school. Love that game, and love that song!!

Least favorite songs: Liar

It feels like the pulse of Cuba. This album was produced by Ry Cooder. I had one of his albums where he played with Ali Farka Toure and I loved it (Talking Timbuktu).

Favorite songs: El Cuarto De Tula, De Camino a La Vereda, Candela, Amor De Loca Juventud, Chan Chan, El Carretero, Orgullecida

She kinda changed her sound from straight teeny bop pop (which is what I remember....Genie in a Bottle, What a Girl Wants....) to a more bluesy/jazzy pop style. Sounds straight out of New Orleans by times with the burlesque style stuff. Not my favorite, but definately not bad. I've listened to much worse.

From the song Nasty Naughty Boy... "I wanna give you a taste...of the sugar below my waist".....dear Jesus Christina ....I feel like my ears are getting an STI...

Favorite songs: Candyman, Ain't No Other Man, Still Dirrty, Here to Stay, Slow Down Baby, Mercy on Me

Least favorite songs: Oh Mother

TransformerLou Reed

Rated 8/10

This album was co-produced by Bowie apparently. I guess Lou was trying to break away from The Velvet Underground, and had released a self titled solo debut album that sold poorly. Bowie was a fan of Velvet Underground, as well as Lou's solo work, so he helped produce this record, and used his influence to help promote it, and this album tracked much better! You can really hear Bowie's influence all through this album. And Walk on the Wild Side is a fantastic song!!

Favorite songs: Hangin' 'Round, Walk on the Wild Side, I'm So Free, Wagon Wheel, Vicious

Least favorite songs: Perfect Day

This is like jazz rock crossed with 60's psychedelic rock. Quite interesting. Not bad at all.

Favorite songs: More and More, Spinning Wheel, And When I Die, Smiling Phases

Least favorite songs: Variations on a Theme by Erik Satie, "Blues, Pt. 2"

L.A. WomanThe Doors

Rated 8/10

One of my favourite Doors albums. Jim Morrison was a genius. This was a nice return to their blues rock roots after a few drug addled psychedelic albums. I love how unpolished it is. That grit just hits right.

Favourite songs: Been Down So Long, Riders on the Storm, The WASP (Texas Radio and the Big Beat), Love Her Madly, The Changeling, Cars Hiss By My Window, Crawling King Snake, L.A. Woman, Hyacinth House

Least favorite songs: L'America

Really solid 80s electronica mixed with synth pop. I had another album of theirs (Very), and it was really solid as well. Not really a bad song on either album.

Favorite songs: Heart, Hit Music, It's a Sin, Shopping, One More Chance, What Have I Done to Deserve This?

Least favorite songs: It Couldn't Happen Here

Rated 6/10

Holy hell, what a barrage on the senses early on a Saturday morning, lol. Really got my blood pumping for the day. Grindcore is crazy. It's great that they put a parental advisory sticker on the album. The growling and shouting may be offensive to some...Funny since I have no idea what dude was saying. Lol, Napalm Death's song You Suffer is only 4 seconds long...

Favorite songs: Siege of Power, Scum, Instinct of Power, Success?

Least favorite songs: Multinational Corporations, Polluted Minds

PornographyThe Cure

Rated 6/10

The most well done The Cure album that I've had so far (the other two were Seventeen Seconds, & Disintegration). This album, although dark and brooding, wasn't terrible. Goth rock is a genre that you really need to be in a good headspace to enjoy. This album, unlike the other two I've reviewed, didn't overstay its welcome, or have long drawn out intros/outros. It seemed to be a more cohesive album, or maybe I was just more receptive today...either way, this album wasn't bad. Not something I would listen to every day, but not terrible.

Favorite songs: Cold, The Hanging Garden, One Hundred Years

Least favorite songs: Pornography, A Short Term Effect

This is my second album by Belle and Sebastian (my first being If You're Feeling Sinister). It was literally my second album ever reviewed on this generator. Nothing to get too excited about, this is generic indie pop. The impressive thing is that they are from Scotland, and for once I didn't absolutely hate it. This album cover is completely fucked though.

Favorite songs: You're Just a Baby, She's Losing It, The State I Am In, We Rule the School

Least favorite songs: Electronic Renaissance

I mean, Dwight is not bad if you like country....kind of a rockabilly sound... but he is also like a B-Lister in the grand scheme of things. It kinda seems like Robert Dimery has no idea about the genre of country, so he just randomly picked country records so it had representation on this list. A lot of what he picked for country doesn't really make sense. I mean, it's usually ok, but not peak country music.

Favorite songs: Streets of Bakersfield, I Sang Dixie, Hold on to God, One More Name, I Got You, Buenas Noches From a Lonely Room (She Wore Red Dresses), Home of the Blues, What I Don't Know, Floyd County, Send Me the Pillow

Least favorite songs: I Hear You Knockin'

Syd Barrett era Floyd was super weird. Their sound developed so much as time went on. This album is super strange and experimental. Not really for me, but important in the grand scheme of things.

Favorite songs: Bike, The Gnome, Lucifer Sam

Least favorite songs: Pow R. Toc. H, Interstellar Overdrive

This is the second album of theirs I've had (the first being Heaven or Las Vegas). They are a super ethereal dream pop/goth rock band from....you guessed it.....Scotland. Fuck...

This music is so airy and jangly that it almost lulls you into a trancelike state. It may be ok to have on in the background while working, but to physically sit and listen to it would be difficult. The vocals are layered so much I have no idea what the singer is saying...

Favorite songs: Pandora (For Cindy), Lorelei

Least favorite songs: Donimo maybe? Hard to say...it all ran together, and I kept drifting in and out while listening to it...

2/5

I've had 2 Echo & the Bunnymen albums before on this generator (Porcupine, and Crocodiles). They are an 80's new wave kinda band. Not bad, but nothing special I don't find.

This album is definately rear loaded. After The Killing Moon, all the songs are fantastic compared to the start of the record.

Favorite songs: My Kingdom, The Killing Moon, Seven Seas, Crystal Days

Least favorite songs: Nocturnal Me, Thorn of Crowns

3/5

This is like trip hop/house music, but super low energy. Dude establishes a beat, then leaves for 5-6 minutes and calls it a song. Not the worst electronica I've heard, but definately not my cup of tea. There are no real lyrics, dude just samples some people talking which is kinda lame.

Favorite songs: Radio 7, Don't Die Just Yet, My Mate Paul

Least favorite songs: Listen, The Parcus & Madder Show, For You (fuck skits), Caddell Returns
