One of the best soul albums of all time - my favourite cover of a change is gonna come
Rated 4/10
boring metal - same droning sound and singing is annoying
guitar solos wreck but not enough solos
Rated 4/10
i get what they're doing with the sound however this bores me
Rated 8/10
good consistent album - goes on for a bit too long but each song is decent
like a more? depressed david bowie
Rated 10/10
Haha I dont need to listen to this bad boy again
One of my favourite albums of all time! A true wonder!
Rated 4/10
screamy no thank u
Rated 8/10
Very decent album songs are kind of samey but theres some classics on there
Rated 8/10
Good. Not the best Bowie has to offer course- heavily funk influenced some songs were forgettable though
Rated 8/10
Excellent metal album got me pumped- some epic guitar solos although questionable (pedo) and bad lyrics on two particular songs
Rated 6/10
Great pop songs at the beginning however the ballads at the end really let the album down..
Not sure I will be able to make it through the album.. too repetitive to be enjoyable -
Rated 10/10
Excellent! Also very different and mostly upbeat
Jazz rock infusion
Rated 8/10
Only 4 to say I liked it less than bad.
Otherwise fairly faultless just tired of most of the songs except Billie jean still bangs
Rated 10/10
Experimental enough to not be dull and familiar enough to not be annoying
Did not expect it to be this good! A modern white band I like. How strange.
Rated 10/10
what is the moral stance on listening to a bad persons' music and enjoying it? should we have separation of artist and art? I think the answer to this is: if the artist commits the crime in the here and now and you are aware of it you should stop supporting them as they will receive the benefits of your support but in this case a) michael jackson isn't receiving anything from my listens b) when he recorded this album hopefully he wasn't up to any nasty behaviour
in answer to that - brilliant album - man in the mirror was the blowing in the wind of the 80s. Most of the songs to this day hold up very well and don't sound corny (minus i just cant stop loving you).
some of the most iconic basslines

songs would be made perfect if sung by an actual soul singer but dusty brings a little different vibe i guess but part of me wonders why i should listen this and not a black singer
she was signed to the same label as Aretha so it makes sense
Only 4 up tempo 'explosive' songs the rest was kinda basic ngl. I have a love for jazz but some of these were too simple laid back saloon songs. Good to improvise with
Rated 6/10
Jack white is a somewhat imperfect singer and maybe that is part of the whole point - I only /really/ liked 3 songs on that album the rest was samey grunge sound
note to self : dont like grunge
Rated 10/10
Surprisingly trippy for 1968 thought it would be pure folk but it was real interesting!
