Barely mediocre originals interspersed with horrible cover versions. Sounds like a last placed finisher at a 6th form talent show.

OK album. Some tracks feel like they have extended solos just to fill in time. Highlight for was finding where Super Furry Animals sampled their most famous track from.

Started off how I was expecting, at a frenetic pace but turned into something else, a surprising eclectic collection of songs. Not a bad way to spend half an hour.

Sounds very much like a musical, which for me isn't a good thing. Fine if you like that sort of thing. His voice just gets a bit much for me.

It has it's moments, the title track in particular is a stand-out, but a lot of tracks come across as the early shoots of ideas rather than something that is ready to be released.

It's bonkers and brilliant in equal measure. Understandably 1982 album of the year by Melody Maker.

The stripped back approach works. Not quite as painful as his pompous arena/stadium rock offerings, but not something I'll be coming back to.

Considering it is 14 tracks it is mercifully short. Nothing redeeming on here for me. Even the music sounds like they are using default presets.

An interesting listen. A clash of styles and cultures. I can imagine several of these tracks ending up on Café Del Mar compilations. Not exactly a cohesive album and worth the listen.

For me a great punk album. The price of synths dropped and anyone could start making music with them.
The influence on the early Some Bizarre & Mute acts is plain to hear. An electronic equivalent of the first VU album maybe? (Commercially unsuccessfully but hugely influencial). However Frankie Teardrop brings the album down so maybe 3.5 stars.

It's a good album, not a great one. The best tracks are excellent but there are also some very mediocre offerings on here. The reissue does benefit from the addition of When A Blind Man Cries.

Not as bad as I was expecting. The 2 side closers are a bit tedious, come across like a new wave band trying to do prog. But the rest of the album is OK. Can certainly hear the influence it had.
