Finally something completely different after all the albums I was long familiar with. Her lovely voice is about 90% of the song. I wasn't really a fan of the English sang songs, especially the Charles Colman duet with the laughing throughout. Still a nice bit of variety from a country with a rich music history.

Might as well be a 90's greatest hits album. Don't like every hit on here but there's a lot of nice like Drive. Stipe's voice is a joy to listen to and the small orhcestral touches in the album are pleasant to listen to. The fame of some of the songs kind of hurts my perception of them, they're overplayed to a point where its hard to enjoy them.

Maybe not as strong as the first 2 albums. Still filled with great riffs and playing throughout. Every other band had to catch up 10 years to sound anything like Black Sabbath. The non metal interludes aren't as nice as in their self titled and Paranoid though.

How many glasses were broken during the production of this album? I really like the combination of punk and some Avant Garde elements in here. Vocals are nice but not very typical. Bumping it up half a star to compensate for all the low ratings.

The beats and rapping is quite primitive, Hip Hop has come a long way since this album. Still fun to listen and the tracks really bang. And of course Walk This Way is a certified hood classic.

The Triffids if they were good. Liked the guitar playing on this one. There isn't really a bad song on here, the Killing Moon is probably the highlight but a lot are great. Still not really a fan of this 80's synth-pop business.

Reading the wiki-page for this article, it really does sound like the bridge between Bauhaus and the Pixies. There is lots of alternative rock from this era to go around, so it's not very essential but a nice listen nonetheless. Female vocals is always nice for a change and the songs are fun to listen.

What a joy to listen to. One of the nicest country albums to listen to. The vocals are first and foreman and are easy to listen to and pretty fun and witty. Just a joy of varied country and folk music.

I could really hear what would become the influences later on Speaking in Tongues and Remain in Light with the hints of African music in there. Had a lot of variety and a bunch of fun songs in there.

Should probably love this more based on what it influenced, what it was influenced by, and who was a part of it (Paul Weller). Didn't really stand out to me though. Everything is there but it didn't really click with me.

Quite a slog to get through. The most milquetoast rapping I've ever heard on album. A few songs are quite nice and there are some nice parts to even the boring tracks that save it from a 1, but its not something I'm gonna visit again. I found the 2 remixes tacked on at the end more interesting than the songs on the album itself.

Hell yeah. Some great hits on here like Debaser and Gouge Away. Really love the loud quiet dynamic on here.

I really love Jacques Brel's music and this one was a pleasant listen as well. However, I miss some of the uptempo songs that Olympia 61 has. Also doesn't really have the hits I like from him on here and the runtime is very short. Nevertheless a beautiful album. If only my French was adequate enough to listen to the lyrics.

Doesn't feel like it was quite a hip hop album already. She's Fresh and The Message are true rap songs and my clear favorites on the album, but the rest of the album is much more late 70's funk-like. A shame Message II is only on the extended edition of the album, because its one of my favorite songs here.

This is really cool. From Out of Nowhere and Woodpecker From Mars are my favorite songs here. The bass slaps and the other instruments are well played too. The best hard rock that the 80's had to offer. A lot better than the hair metal drivel that came before and a lot better than the countless rap rock nu metal albums that were inspired by it.

I was kind of dreading this because its a double album, but it turned out quite nice. Doesn't seem to have an overarching theme but there are a lot of good classic rock and pop tracks on here. Every song feels like it could have been a hit single, Tusk the track is one of the weirder tracks in that regard.

I'M GONNA DIE ALONE IN BED x100. The lyrics seem mostly there to fill the space with sound. Surprisingly decent little album. Every song flows into one another and half orchestra in the background adds a lot of layers.

Filled with a lot of great moments. Excellent jams and songs throughout the entire album. Its a long sit but it doesn't really lose my interest and is plenty varied. All the songs work incredibly well on their own.

The woman has a great voice and is nice to listen to, the guy I don't really like listening to at all. The instrumentation is sparse but the right instruments drop in at the right time, especially the guitar. I really liked the first few songs but it dropped of hard after that. The latter half was boring and didn't relaly have much enjoyable about it. Wanted to give it 4 stars but 3 is the most I can muster.

I can admire how this pretty much birthed the genre of Ambient music, but its not for me. I don't like ambient music and while there's probably a time and place for it for me, that time and place wasn't today.
