I'd been meaning to give this album a listen many years ago, but never did. It's very mellow and fluffy, nothing offensive, but equally nothing really excited me.

I got thrown by the opening track, it's a live recording, and it had a fade-out, felt a bit jarring. The rest of the album was okay, but yeah usual Neil Young, harmonica and whine. 2.5
Rated 1/10
The opening track had a good groove, then spiralled into the blandest RnB I'd ever heard!
I'd started to enjoy this until that damned harmonica kicks in, fml!

I do like Slipknot; Corey Taylor's vocal range and Clown/Tortilla's immense drumming combo! As always, you have to be in the mood for it.
Wait and Bleed is the obvious highlight of the album, the rest is fine, but not an album I actively seek out.
Rated 6/10
One of their more lighter albums on the 1001 list... whilst still taking aim for those downwards brooding melancholy moods.
Rated 8/10
Enjoyed this very much, the obvious highlight being Dreaming of You.

Countdown To A Shrug 🤷
This is the fourth (and hopefully final) Steely Dan album we've had on the 1001 list. It's fine in as far as classic dad rock goes. Middle of the road 2.5 from me.
Rated 8/10
Definitely an album of two halves. First half progressively climbs up to the zenith that is Lazy Sunday! Second half is all a bit odd, but in an interesting way.
Rated 8/10
Our fifth (and last) Sonic Youth album on the 1001 list. I may like this slightly more than Daydream Nation, and that's probably down to Kool Thing.
Rated 6/10
I'm feeling less annoyed by this album.
I guess this is progress in my appreciation towards PJ Harvey.
Rated 4/10
If I was a teenager in the late 80s, I'd probably like this, but I wasn't and I don't.
Rated 6/10
Once I got past the cringiness of it, I quite enjoyed the album, quirky, fun and good spirited.
Rated 8/10
The sun was shining when I listened to this, glorious day!
This album has its fair share of filler, but I enjoyed all the hits.
Extra star for the bass, I can't get over how funky the basslines are, incredible!
Rated 6/10
Similar to the previous Pavement album we had on the 1001 list, more generic 90s American indie shoegaze grunge rock. Which is great if you're into it.
Rated 4/10
"Ya know what I'm sayin'?"
After an hour of this, sure I know what you're saying... and you kiss your mother with that mouth?
Rated 4/10
Just another ex-1001 album!™

There are a couple of standout tracks, In Da Club and P.I.M.P., the rest was uninteresting to me, felt that I'd heard similar with other hip-hop/rap on the 1001 list.
Rated 6/10
Pleasant enough, nice listen.
Rated 4/10
I'm confused with this entry, as there's no reference in the 1001 book or even the ex-1001 list. So I'm unsure why it's on this website. 🤷
As for the album, it invokes the same feeling as when my daughter puts Taylor Swift on in the car, it's bearable, but can we change the CD yet?
Rated 1/10
I'd prefer Walking Wounded over this, literally and metaphorically.
