Descent new wave punk album. An enjoyable ride to work on the bus, familiar name. I enjoyed the singers voice very much so, solid 3 stars.

The great american band CCR! This is such a great stuff, I am not american, but I think you cannot get more american than this. Pure swamp, blues folk americana. Very strong 4 stars at the very least.

Another absolute rock masterpiece, obvious 5 stars and another staple from my youth. Can't help but think, while listening to the last track - brilliant rendition of blues standard When the levee breaks, of just how few great blues records there are on this list.

It's no secret - I love the Cure! I have always liked them but in the last couple of years they became one of my favourites for a reason. I am seeing 3 albums from them on the list, this one being the first one I get and I figured I would give 2 others 5 stars, but re-listening to this.. This is just such a beautiful dark work of art, can't get enough of it, so what the heck, I increased my rating on RYM to 4.5 and I will round it up to 5 stars here. All hail Robert Smith!

This is a wonderful hop-hop album, really something unique and special. Not many tracks I already knew here apart from Ms. Jackson, however it is tight, it flows nicely and doesn't get old. I will definitely give it 4 stars, maybe 3.5 on RYM but maybe higher. However, I am surprised they wouldn't include other Outkast albums on this list, I would rather put something like Aquemini which was groundbreaking for it's time and still sounds great.

This is as good as simple straight swinging rock n roll can get. No need for complications or some deep lyrical themes, because that is not the point! So I am confused why are people even expecting that shit and getting dissapointed then whey don't get it. Not every music must be Dylan. This is, no doubt, a masterpiece, 5 stars.

1984Van Halen

Rated 8/10

As I am writing this at work I have already re-listened to this great album twice in the morning. And yes, of course it's great, but I gotta say - if you asked me 5 years or even 10 years ago, I would have said no doubt this is 5 stars. However VH is yet another one of those bands from my childhood which I kind of outgrew. The singles are majestic as always but album tracks just won't compare to those 3 massive songs here. So I think this deserves strong 4 stars, but it's not really a masterpiece as my younger self would have thought.

Honestly I might not even finish this one today, it drags a bit. I love the album art but that's about all I do like about this album, not as memorable as the one I got before from them, so perhaps 2 stars here, not complete garbage either

TapestryCarole King

Rated 6/10

I am very glad to get opportunity to listen to all these legendary female performers. I have never heard of Carole King before which is a bit surprising and it's clear enough that this is another one of those albums for which it's not enough to just spend a day with. I might have to come back to this, but so far it's very enjoyable experience, 3 strong stars easily, not yet sure about 4, because at the moment I am still not getting any super memorable tracks to revisit, but this one will have to be revisited anyway!

What an epic album to end the week with! Obviously one of the greatest rock masterpieces, one of the greatest double LPs ever as well, no doubt in that. Big part of my youth and absolutely 5 stars.

For some reason did not expect to find Hawkwind on this list but I'm glad they're here and it makes sense for this hybrid live album to represent them. Really interesting and cool space band. I love the guy twisting the knobs on primitive oscillator box. Definitely strong 4 stars

Hunky DoryDavid Bowie

Rated 10/10

What a day! Our dog dissappeared and it was super panicky, frustrating but thank god he was found in less than 2 hours so I am finally at rest despite dealing with some issues at work. So what it has to do with today's album? Well probably nothing, Hunky Dory is a masterpiece and just what I need to get through today. This is obvious 5 stars.

Police are such a great band with completely unique approach and sound. The drumming is especially superb. I was expecting to go for maximum here, but I haven't listened to them in a long time and coming back to this, it seems like a solid 4 stars, but it is lacking for 5 in some ways I feel.

RevolverThe Beatles

Rated 10/10

Obviously super easy 5 stars.. how could it be any lower than that? You would have to be so oblivious and I don't want to meet you. Hardly could get any better, any more influential, any more groundbreaking or any more FUNdamental as this!

Never heard of these guys before, which is for some reason, a bit surprising. Too absent-minded this morning to properly soak it in, so I'll try to give it another spin at work this morning. Quite enjoyable 80s stuff, really not bad at all so probably easy 3 stars, but at the same time this is not super my cup of tea so I am afraid no more than 3! I could see myself listening to this though why not.

A bit surprised seeing only one entry on the list from Mr. Joel, but I will give my best shot. If you have asked me 10 years ago I would probably have easily given this album 5 stars. This is still great, great songwriting, great lyricism, great piano playing. So fur sure at least 4 stars no doubt, perhaps 4.5 on RYM we will see after today

Ok, so I know my sister really likes this band. This is an interesting combo of indie sounds mixed with psychedelia, electronika and so on. Couple of well known nice tracks, but honestly I don't care much for it for some reason. Def at least 3 stars

Another Costello album in quick succession. And to be honest, I am getting a bit tired of him, after four albums already on the list, I didn't detect anything super special and it's getting old. It's not bad by any means, but at the same time I don't care much to come back to him. So max 3 stars once again

One gain we have the Smiths, I think I already listened to their best work, but this is very good obviously as well. I don't know any songs here and never listened to this one fully, or I can't recall, so struggling a bit to choose between 3 or maybe even 4 stars. Update: maybe songs are not as strong as the ones on The Queen is Dead but I am thoroughly enjoying this, maybe 3.5 on RYM but rounding up to 4 stars here.
