This is honest to God some of the worst music I've ever heard. I'm not exaggerating. I've been doing this project for 2 years every single day and this is in the bottom 20. The voice. The lyrics. The production. Terrible. Worse than those toothpaste flavored chocolates.

This is an album that's technically good but I can't bring myself to like it that much. "Brass in Pocket" and "The Wait" are phenomenal, but there are a few duds, such as "The Phone Call" and "Up The Neck". What this album relies most off of is the punk and alternative energy, which they do quite well. Unfortunately, though, and I hate to say it, but her voice sounded too much like a goat. And I can't stand "Kid". I don't know what it is that people love so much about this music. I get why they like it, and that's as far as I can understand. After all, there a couple songs here that I am fond of.

"Don't leave your torch behind
A power cut ahead
1972, you know
And so we crept through the park
No, I cannot steal a pair of jeans
Off a clothesline for you
But you without clothes
Oh, I could not keep a straight face
Me, without clothes?
Well, a nation turns its back and gags
And I'm packed"

I'm crying bro what are these lyrics 😭

I think I just liked it because their music was in Shaun of the Dead

That was them wasn't it

I'm conflicted. The alternative punk vibes are kind of cool, but his voice is ridiculously annoying. Also, every time I found myself enjoying a song in the slightest, I couldn't help but feel that it was a little forced. I think I most enjoyed "To The Kill", but the two iconic hits were NOT doing anything for me. In fact, I pretty much hated them. I'm not sure what you're all hearing. It's fine but not THAT good.

Also, why was that one song about him wanting to get a girl drunk so he could have sex with her? Rapey much?

Why does everything here sound like Spinal Tap circa 1960 something? It's like a parody of corny 60s music. Why is this considered to be their best album? I knew, like, the one song at the end and everything else was random cheesy 60s soft hippy folk rock. I think I found myself enjoying the second track for a hot minute and that was it.

Good energetic grunge sound, even if the vocals are weak. This is one of those albums where there's not a standout song, but it has a standout vibe. You just listen to it and all the songs blend into each other, which works if you wanna just chill, but doesn't make it any better than 'fine'.

It was very... okay?? It was both good and bad in its own way. Pretty cheesy but if you forgot about that for a few minutes it was a pretty fun listen.

Ya know the background music sounds fine but the atrocious lyrics and country fried vibes are fucking everything up

Okay maybe not EVERYTHING
