The beats are kinda fun. The vocals are pretty cheesy but I kinda vibe with it.

I dig any rap that sounds like this, as it evokes the NYC of my childhood. This isn’t quite Wu Tang, but it’s still pretty cool.

Found this one not unpleasant but rather boring.

Chill vibes. They walked so Cigarettes After Sex could… walk… slower.

AC/DC if they sucked

Half all time bangers but the other half is forgettable.

I was skeptacal that I was going to like this and my doubts were confirmed. Some of the beats are kinda interesting, especially the QOTSA sample on “Man”, but I find Skepta’s flow kind of annoying. The skits do really detract from the experience. Eh, maybe I kinda dig it.

I like the darker elements in this but then it gets a bit cheesy for me.

Amazing vibraphone playing and darker than I had expected.

I dig the understated, nonchalant vine of this. Kind of a precursor to bands like Pavement and The Silver Jews.

Among its many achievements this record includes what I consider the first ever heavy metal song: “I Want You (She’s So Heavy)”

I like this better than their other record on here.

Chill and funky. Glad there aren’t vocals.

“Revenge? Of course. But why wound his body with bullets when I can set his soul on fire with a slanderous mambo!”

Fun, fractious, energetic post punk. Not quite the Sugar Cubes, but on the way.

Before they transcended alternative rock and then went in to transform popular music altogether, Radiohead made one of the best damn records of the alt rock era and this is it! I recently learned they saw Jeff Buckley play live and ran to the studio immediately afterwards to write “Fake Plastic Trees”. Makes lots of sense. Seeing the “Just” and “Street Spirit” music videos had a huge impact on me, setting the stage for when OK Computer came along and forever defined my taste in music.

Occasionally cool but mostly not for me.

Their first and best record. The truest grunge of all grunge. The deluxe edition has a slightly different track order with tracks that weren’t on the old SFBM + Early singles that I remember.
