The classical nerd in me appreciated the 2 bars of pictures at an exhibition at the start. Other than that, a whatever hip hop album to me. Not bad, but will not revisit.

Mellow covers, a kind of whatever album to me. Dreamy, but felt like it lingered and went nowhere.
Rated 8/10
A nice to listen to jazz fusion album. Can sound basic and background-y to modern ears, but still a nice listen. 4*

Covers of western songs on sitar/Asian instruments seems very derivative? Why not put more original music on this list instead of covers? Because it pleases the white people? 2*

Sonic youth are excessively featured on this list, so much so that my algorithm thinks I really like them. I don't. This wasn't bad but nothing special, which is a 1* in my book (some tracks like in the kingdom bumped this down from a 2).
Rated 4/10
Some of these are just my white suburban high school dance flashbacks. Other than that, a sort of whatever hip hop album for me, no hidden gems. 2*
Highlights: in da club, pimp
Rated 4/10
Synthy, yacht album. Not noteworthy. This list needs to stop celebrating mediocre white people albums. 2*
What a band name. Country-ish album, not very interesting or worthy of this list.
Rated 6/10
A very 60s album. The production or editing or something was very jarring to my ears. Otherwise, not sure how this stands out from other 60s albums -- it was ok, but average. 3*

This reminds me of the bar Departure in Portland, OR
Nice vibe-y background music, but not sure it's worthy of this list; it's so forgettable.
Rated 8/10
This is probably the oldest ska album I've ever listened to (the fact that it's "ska revival" kind of blows my mind)-- it has brass but not that skanking high energy vibe of 90s ska.
Fun energy, 4*
Arctic monkeys but make it more orchestral and groovier. I really dig this, 5*
My mistakes were made for you sounds like straight up James Bond music.
Highlights: calm like you, my mistakes were made for you

Somebody else said "if you haven't heard of the album or artist in 25 years, you shouldn't have to listen to it before you die" and I couldn't agree more. I find the occasional gem, but this ain't it. Very forgettable, shitty massage parlor music. 2*

Spacey electronic. Reminded me of Oxygene, but more mellow and ambient. I actually really liked it, and will listen to more of this group 5*

Someone described her voice as switching between beautiful and annoying, and I couldn't agree more. When it's annoying, it's bad, it's like unskilled Broadway singer trying to flex their range. 2*
Rated 6/10
Nice production value for the 50s.
Highlights: fever

More mid british music that made it onto this list for whatever reason? Wow, color me surprised. 3*
Rings around the world gave my right ear tinnitus

This was ok? Some tracks I just didn't enjoy (boss), some were ok (selfish). 3* on average, not sure it's in my wheelhouse.

I looove Franz, this is going to be an easy 5* for me.
Jacqueline had such a weird start for their typical sound, I was confused, until about a minute in. Their sound is so fun and distinctive.
Highlights: take me out, this fire, the dark of the matinee (that buildup to the chorus!)
Rated 8/10
These guys are good at guitar! I don't think it's as good as later albums, but it felt pretty cohesive for a debut. 4*
