Big favourite from my teen years. We had it in the car on tape. Good memories of driving around Cornwall listening it with my mum and brother. Recently rediscovered it. Loads of top quality songs that have aged very well, thank you very much.

Rated 4/10

I just don't click with Beck. Pretty sure I've never heard a song by him that I want to play again.

This is a tricky one. Loads of good, memorable tunes on here. Take Me Out is an all-time indie disco classic. It's a clear highlight of the album. Jacqueline and Darts of Pleasure also stand out. However, I can't say I truly love or like this album. Maybe it's too eager to please, maybe it's not as good as it thinks it is. Maybe if they'd only made this album and then disappeared I would love it. Should be 4 stars, I'll probably give it 3.

2112Rush

Rated 8/10

My second Rush album in quick succession. I suppose this is why I'm doing this - to give a chance to music that I might otherwise dismiss. I enjoyed large parts of this. It's deeply nerdy and uncool but I can't deny that Rush are a very good band and this is a very good album.

Disappointing. I love George Michael's voice and I knew and liked the title track. I found the rest of the album very 80s and unmemorable. Sorry, George.

I found it pretty annoying and cacophonous until the final two tracks. The last two are very good songs. Take Me To The River is like The Doors if they played CBGBs.
This is my 3rd Talking Heads album. I still think they're overrated. Great singles band but the albums don't do it for me.

I feared that this was going to be awful prog music. I actually enjoyed the whole thing. I might return to it if I get a very particular itch for over amped prog.

Diamond LifeSade

Rated 6/10

Smooth and easy. I do like the clarity of the instruments and the voice. It's a very pleasant experience, but I probably won't return to it.

AmnesiacRadiohead

Rated 10/10

An old friend. I'm lucky enough to own the library book CD from it's initial release. I know that Kid A is probably the better album, but I listen to Amnesiac more. I love it's weirdness. Pull/Pulk Revolving Doors, Spinning Plates, Dollars and Cents - all brilliantly weird.

My actual favourite Elvis Costello album. Yes, he has too many albums on this here list. This one deserves its place on any list. All killer, no filler. What's So Funny..... is one of the best cover versions of all time.
Great Cover Art.

I have no problem with this. I enjoy each song as they're playing. Nothing sticks in my memory. I even own it on CD. I've played it dozen of times. Each time the same result - enjoy it while it's on, forget it when it's gone.

One of my all time favourites. Made of Stone is hairs on the back of the neck time. The whole album sounds like Manchester. Manchester sounds like this album. As close to a perfect album as you'll find.
Great Cover Art.

Tough one to rate for me. Lots of (good) memories attached to this album. Me and my partner probably over listened to it on various car journeys in 2009/2010. It takes me back to the early days of our relationship - which is sweet. But I never want to actually listen to it anymore. The album is probably not as good as it was once.
