Funny, entertaining, with a sharp sense of humour, and featuring the classic Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll... how can anyone remain indifferent to this?

It didn't fit my mood; a classic, for sure, but I'll give it a 4, 'cause has "No woman no cry" but it was not the best day to have this!

I will have to come back to it in the future, so that I can make it proper justice... maybe!

Not for me, sorry.

All the swearing and slang tire me out—even though certain songs are truly original and have an excellent beat!—I even get headaches and feel physically sick. And then there's all the misogyny, omnipresent... thanks, but no thanks!

Wonderful album. Stevie Wonder is, for real, an extremely multi talented musical genius. This is an album that will make you a very happy person whenever you listen to it <3

Easy 5

Well, I understand (I think I understand!) all this hatred. I listened to this album trying to keep an open mind, but unlike many other albums on this list, this time I focused on the lyrics, trying to pay more attention to them, influenced by many opinions I read.
The truth is that, in the end, my opinion is:
- I think it's much ado about nothing;
- the guy is (was) an idiot trying to act tough;
- this never had any impact here or in my life and experience in the 90s (I'm talking from Portugal), we were all very interested in listening to other things;
- the lyrics, at least many of them, are ridiculous;
- once again, everything about this album and this artist is much ado about nothing;
- this is definitely not an album you have to listen to before you die! You can die in peace if you've never heard it, you haven't missed anything;
That said, I give it a 2 because it didn't make me feel anything, but I don't give it less because I think I've had much worse here, OK?
And that's it ;-)

It brought back some memories; I didn't listen to this kind of music back then! It's fun to listen to after all these years, and some songs really get us going, lots of energy... but my tastes have evolved and the metal I listen to now is something more mature and heavy!

But it was fun, so a solid 3/5

I don't understand the metrics of this project: samba appears as one of my favorite genres when, for me, it's more than clear that it's punk that I'm really passionate about!
I've liked all the punk albums I've found here, to the point that they're among the highest scores I've given—only 4 or 5.
This one is fantastic, a solid 5/5 from me.

Someone said "I'm too old to pretend I give a shit about pop music."
I have this same feeling. Anyway, giving it a 3 for her vocals, she definitely has a great voice ;-)
But all wrapped up, this ain't my genre :-(

So much beautiful tunes and songs that keep popping on your head; I think my 5 rate it's mainly because this is the sort of music that always make you feel good, you know?

Like a medicine that puts you back on track, no side effects, just great

Although it's not my favorite genre, this is a good album. My rating of 3 is mainly because it doesn't quite fit my preferences.
After a few listens, I get really tired of the swearing and slang, which I don't always understand :-)

This lady is from another dimension; what a wonderful and powerful voice; what an energy; I have all the R-E-S-P-E-C-T for Aretha, I believe she still is delighting all the heaven souls 🥰👍

After listening to it a second time later that evening, I agreed with many users who wrote that this was a 5-star album.

The truth is that sometimes it can be really depressing, and it's certainly not an album to listen to on all occasions. So when I listened to it at night, when everything was quiet and it was almost time to go to bed, that's when it worked for me — calm, with great stories, sad stories, for sure, but well constructed and presented — a kind of great work of art that really matched my mood and made me love it!

I'm adding this singer to my favorites, as he's on another level, far removed from the singers out there who write songs to be consumed and spat out in the moment. No, not Sufjan Stevens, this guy is more like a craftsman and knows his craft well ;-)

A classic, what else can be said?

Truly an album to listen to before you die :-)

Actually, I quite liked this country album. Is there something wrong with me? Is all the country music I've been listening to starting to have an effect? :-(

Although I love listening to world music in this project (and I think it's missing a little bit of that, somehow!), this wasn't for me. It's not that I don't recognize the merits and talent of the artists, but it's just not my kind of preference. And I'm giving it a 2 because I really don't understand or know anything to be able to evaluate it properly.

Hey, I know it's my fault, okay?

My favorite band from my teenage years; how can I not give this album a 5?

Wonderful album, never disappoints, never gets old, just becomes a classic :-D
