It’s a bit odd to say but I wish this was louder. I had to turn my speakers up louder than I would normally to be able to fully immerse myself in it. This has a very clean sound. The drumming and guitar work are very good here. Sometimes the melodies reminded me of Iron Maiden. I think I liked this just as much as Peace Sells by Megadeth. This got better on repeat listens. Favorite songs were Caught In A Mosh, Efilnikufesin, and Indians.

Not exactly sure what he was saying but man was he spitting that shit. Really great album. The beats were a good mix of chill and funky. Never knew I needed this in my life until now. Will definitely revisit and check out more by this guy. Favorites were tracks 3, 4, 7, 11, and 14.

Is this the corniest album of all time? Surprisingly that this is the best selling album of all time in Australia. Sometimes the cheese really works and sometimes it can just be a little excessive. Like it’s stupid but I think I like it. Favorite songs were Bat Out Of Hell, You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth, and Paradise By The Dashboard Lights.

This album is one of the few where I find myself enjoying the skits (except for De La Orgee that one can go). Just a great hip hop album front to back with fun beats, creative sampling, and good flows.

Some poor production choices here really hinder my enjoyment of this one. Mostly those garbage sounding digital horns. Deducting an entire point for how bad they make the song Lem Gi. Favorite songs were Hamady Boiro, Daniibe, and Minuite.

It’s Aerosmith so there are limits to my enjoyment of it. Second half falls flat in their efforts to diversify the overall sound. Going Down/Love In An Elevator is really catchy, and Janie’s Got A Gun is good too.

I really dug the one song that uses the Skype ringtone. This was well worth the listen. The whole albums flows and transitions well and later tracks include callbacks to previous songs. And a 90’s dance album that doesn’t waste my time with 16 songs and 80 minutes? Sign me up. Loved the diversity here. Favorite songs were 3AM Eternal, Last Train To Trancentral, Build A Fire, and Justified And Ancient.

I get why The Byrds are important and influential but they’ve never been a favorite of mine. And do they really need five albums on this list? This one was pretty good though. Favorites were Mr. Spaceman, What’s Happening?, Eight Miles High, and Hey Joe.

It’s silly and hasn’t aged all the best, but it’s fun at least. Not the greatest example of hip hop that should be represented on the list when Rakim isn’t present at all. The Humpty Dance is kind of a novelty. The beats are funky.

Wow so cool you wrote an album about nuclear weapons with heavy use of Indian styles! Too bad you couldn’t make it interesting. Tides is a good peaceful moment, but most of this does not appeal to me.

This album on a whole is kind of a mess. Very much presents a melancholic mood throughout and is very different from #1 Record. This feels like a precursor to the post-punk or Joy Division. Favorites were Thank You Friends, Holocaust, and You Can’t Have Me.

Band and album I had never heard of in a genre I like. It was good! I liked the sludgy elements added into that early 2000’s garage rock sound. Favorite songs were Up Against The Wall Motherfucker, On The Lash, Getting Bright At Night, and Seasick.

The intro is one of those songs that I’m pretty sure most people have heard, but couldn’t name. This is definitely a headphones album. Subdued vocals and the chill instrumentals really work especially with repeated listens. Favorite songs were Intro, Crystallised, Fantasy, and Basic Space.

My absolute favorite moment of the entire album is the intro and first drum hit on Reverberation. You can tell this was super influential for groups like The Stooges. Not sold on the electric jug though. Favorite songs were You’re Gonna Miss Me, Roller Coaster, Reverberation, and Tried To Hide.

For the most part this is pretty chill. I’m sure the Hurricane interlude makes a lot more sense thematically when taken as a companion to the movie. As a film soundtrack this is excellent. Suicide Underground somewhat gives me an idea of what this movie is about, but I might need to watch it to actually know. Not quite as good as Moon Safari. Favorite songs were Dirty Trip, Ghost Song, and Dead Bodies.

Prince clears this fraud. Perhaps the best MJ album? Danceable throughout and who doesn’t feel the intro to Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough? Consistently great production with stellar bass grooves.

I mean… it’s fantastic. Just banger after banger. Fourth best Radiohead album for me.
