Not a fan of electronic house music. but I respect this album because the songs don't go on forever. Enjoyed the sampling of 80s songs.

Rated 2/10

This album was not my thing. A lot of it sounded like a parody of electronic music. I listened to on a long road trip and it somehow made the drive longer. 1.5/5

Got going after the first few generic tracks. It’s hard for me to get in the right mood for EDM… this is meant for a club, not my house at 8am.

The Good: We know that this album is going to blow something up!
The Bad: That it did not blow itself up after roughly song #3…
The Ugly: Getting all excited about “need you tonight” thinking it would be an INXS remix… fucking Mylo…

On a positive, I really do like the album art!

About the album… well, take into consideration that Mylo never published another album, we know that these 55 minutes and 5 seconds are all that there is to convince us of the need to NOT have to listen to this again.

I will give Mylo 2 stars for the effort on the first couple of tracks, and the fact that he made this all on a computer when most people didn’t know you could do that… he should have stuck to Academia though…

Highly repetitive, mostly uninteresting electronica that's not too unpleasant, and has a few fun samples, but not really worth the time. OK for background noise while working.

Meh...meh techno. 2/5

mais música de loja roupa de shopping.
mas esse eh mais variado e menos medíocre, pelo menos. deu pra dar uma dançadinha.

Well, that's about it. I actually quite like electronica. I've probably heard Mylo in this context before. At least I knew one track from the album. Overall, however, I didn't particularly like the music. 2/5

I did enjoy the sermon sample lol

Rated 6/10

Strange, but enjoyable.

I didn’t dislike this, but even assuming the title is tongue in cheek, calling an album Destroy Rock & Roll raises your expectations for something more exciting than “all back to mine” post-club background music.

Rated 6/10

Decent electronic stuff but nothing special. I liked the “bike” track.

Rated 4/10

Drop The Pressure was quite nice. I remember it from when I was little and went camping with my parents.. The rest is generic BS

Scottish. Fuck
Electronica. Fuck

Truth be said though, this isn't too terribly bad. I mean, it isn't great. It's like minimalist electronica. But I can tolerate it, unlike most Scottish music.

Someone commented that this sounds like if Air and The Avalanches had a very uninteresting child, and I feel like that's exactly what this sounds like.

Favorite songs: Drop the Pressure, Destroy Rock & Roll, Otto's Journey, Paris Four Hundred, In My Arms, Zenophile

Least favorite songs: Guilty of Love

Tämä oli uusi tuttavuus ja yllättävän hyvää settiä! Osa loppupuolen kappaleista tylsempiä, mutta alkupuolella kunnon groovet. 4/5

I was really not expecting Destroy Rock & Roll to be this good but i was so happily proven to be wrong. From the first time a got a taste of some of the songs, i was expecting that i would get a 2 star album at best. However, when i actually listened to this album it went up to a 3 and stayed that way until the last 2 songs which were enough for me to give it a 4. The songs here were all some really good stuff but the final 2 tracks, like i said, stole the show for me. The album always managed to have a good beat to all of it's songs and got really beautiful towards the end. This album isn't gonna destroy rock & roll but it is still a really good one nonetheless.
Best Song: Need You Tonite
Worst Song: Sunworhsipper

It's quite telling that I was listening to this while working, and at one point a track came on that I thought "oooh, now this is -good-!" I checked it out and Youtube had just skipped over to Daft Punk on auto play. The entire time, however, there was no track that stood out except for 'Drop the Pressure.' If you're going to Destroy Rock & Roll, you gotta do better than this, folks.

Each song quickly wears out its welcome

I’m at a 3.5 that I’ll bump up to a 4.

I dunno, I don’t have too much to say – it sure is house / electronica. I’ve heard this sort of style before, and this album does it pretty well. It’s an album that’s very easy to pay attention to in the moment, and get a good feel for the individual tracks, but it’s one of those albums that’s hard to describe the feeling afterwards, and that’s where I’m sort of stumped. I think the production here is mostly good, but I can’t really recall why – there’s lots of trance-inducing drums, synths, and samples that create great harmonies that feel encapsulating for minutes at a time, before moving onto the next one. I suppose this album “fails” when the trance becomes escapable, and it happens enough times where I think this album falls down to a 3.5.

It also slowly loses a bit of luster over time – at a certain point, the production tricks feel more common, the tracks go a bit too long, the melodies and patterns get a little repetitive, and it’s just easier to notice the cracks the longer the album lingers on. 55 minutes is a bit long here, and while most of this is still enjoyable, it’s very clear that some of the fat could have been trimmed, and more importantly, more of these tracks could’ve had a little more time to cook. There are points where this album feels like it can explode into a Daft Punk-esque second gear, but it never really reaches that deeper point. A lot of these songs find their rhythm & groove and then just settle, which sort of sterilizes each track to my ears, which just end up thinking about ways the tracks could keep growing and getting more bombast. It feels like there’s a lot of missed potential here. I’m complaining a bit here, but it’s just because I’ve heard better in the genre, and I feel like this is really close to cracking through into an all-timer.

Ultimately, I did enjoy it, but if I can’t really linger on it in a deeper sense besides “it sounded pretty good, but it could have sounded even better”, I do sort of question whether or not it’s really in a “listen to this before you die” tier of music. It’s still a solid album, and it lines up with my more VGM-adjacent tendencies, but there’s probably better examples of this genre that are already in the list, or ones that could have replaced it. I did like it though, hence the bump up to a 4.

I actually quite enjoyed this one which really surprised me!

Also ended up knowing one song that I'd not heard in years. Would listen again. Kinda chill
