Honestly really good! Pretty par for the course of that 2000s pop era but quite enjoyable. Maybe not the easiest to slot into Da List (tm c r), but a worthwhile listen.

Whiny voice style indie, but honestly kinda worked for it. Sometimes that'll happen.

Reminded me of The Bends era Radiohead at times, although a bit poppier. This was a nice listen.

Very obscure Scottish indie rock, but lots of fun.

When I saw that this was another Scottish indie band, I immediately assumed the album would be trash. If the trend continued from all of the Scottish music included on the original list, that would be true. Thankfully, the OP selected an album that was actually pretty good. Reminds me of a slightly shittier Oasis. Not something I would revisit often, but I'm glad it's on the list, because up until now I just assumed all Scottish music after the bagpipe was just trash. This gives me hope that there is more good music from there, you just have to go digging for it.
Favorite songs: Watching Xanadu, Mull Historical Society, This Is Not Who We Were, Instead, Strangeways Inside
Least favorite songs: Public Service Announcer, I Tried

Super catchy and entertaining indie rock/pop. I really love this kind of music so it was a hit with me. The lyrics were pretty poignant too.

Great almost forgotten Scottish indie album, wasn’t sure I was familiar with this band, unless watching Xanadu came on, I clearly never click who actually sang that song.

Wonderful, from an artist I have admired from the start
