I don't really have a whole lot to say about all these folk/folk rock albums except that they're boring and I wish people would have a higher standard for them. This one is a little better because of the chamber pop parts that permeate through the album, when he focuses on more string oriented textures the album sounds fine.

The songwriting on here isnt too bad, I could see it hitting a bit harder if I was in the right mood. Unfortunately his voice varies between being meh and being completely insufferable.

I remember finding this pretty dull back when it came out, and I was hoping that maybe with age I'd come to appreciate it more but sadly no dice. It's just kinda boring generic folk pop.
