This is wildly forward thinking for an album from 1970. I love prog and psych rock so the mixture was a slam dunk for me. I’ll definitely give this one more listens.

Perhaps the most American sounding I've ever heard Krautrock be, this album takes the idea from Electric Prunes' Mass in F Minor and cranks it up to 11, and I'm all here for it. Perhaps droky to some, the Latin vocals make the instrumentation all the more intense, and pulling from Liturgical Music allows for the whole thing to be grandiose in design. It struggles a bit from a song by song perspective, but as a start to finish record this is a neat, niche little corner of the progosphere.

Liturgical abuses...liturgical abuses everywhere! They even had a drum kit in the chapel. *shudder*

I've been drowning in pop music this last week, so I'm very grateful for this avant-garde latin-chant krautrock thing turning up. As can sometimes happen in that sphere, the noodling gets grating sometimes, but it's a small price to pay for how interesting the rest of it is
