Urgh, Morrissey is a fucking twat, but this is a hell of an album, it cannot be denied.

Rated 4/10

Decent Morrissey, but doesn't come close to Smiths level. 2/5

Ffs...... Why does this tool have like 5 records on this goddamn generator. Oddly enough, the first four songs on this album were quite upbeat, but then he has descended into his depressive moaning again for the rest of the album. God what an irritating twat.

Favourite songs: Now My Heart is Full, Billy Budd, Spring-Heeled Jim

Least favourite songs: "Lifeguard Sleeping, Girl Drowning"

Blah blah, Morrissey bad, music good, blah blah... mentioning it every single review is redundant, so no need to harp on it here. Morrissey shows on this album that he recognizes the second British Invasion he helped spawn and takes beats from Pulp among other similar acts to create a very consistent record, with that usual whispery, lackadaisical crooning Morrissey oh so loves, with a dash of relatively generic instrumentation to create a record that is good, but never great. It has those driving, alternative riffs and that thumping percussion to keep things moving, but he knows you are here to love or loathe him and his voice, so he is mainly the star of the show. If you want an album that is definitely aging, but still has enough to come back to, then I think the melancholic tone fits best here since his departure from the Smiths, but I find myself preferring Viva Hate because it sounds fresh and like he's roaring to make his own music. This album feels like he has been there, done that, and knows how to make you happy in the cockiest of ways, and I have to admit this is still got enough good parts to win me over.

Morrissey is hard to separate his personal antics from his music. This was fine.

Rated 10/10

Another Morrissey album in this list and one that could likely be considered his best work to date, with closing track Speedway possibly the best solo song he has released.

"All of the rumours keeping me grounded
I never said that they were completely unfounded
And all those lies, written lies, twisted lies
Well, they weren't lies, they weren't lies, they weren't lies"

Rated 6/10

Morrissey has a beautiful and very distinctive voice. I like the music on the album. However, he is also a provocateur and that makes it difficult for me to be enthusiastic. The idea of separating politics and music (or even sport) is nonsensical, especially when the music is used to convey the ideas. That's why I'll still be happy to listen to a Morrissey song from time to time, but otherwise I'll tend to avoid him.

There is far too much Morrissey on the list we didn’t need this one too.

Rated 2/10

Stop, enough with the Morrissey albums. I can very much appreciate The Smiths, Moz on his own (2nd album of his I've had now) is just not in the same league. Sure, there's still something about his vocals and intonation that brings joy, but mostly it's dirge. And he's a prick.

Rated 8/10

It's not the Smiths, but it's good enough.
Morrissey is such an unpleasant man, with horrible politics and beliefs, but he is so good at being relatable on records.

Rated 6/10

This is my third Morrissey solo album up to this point, and it’s fine. Just like the others were fine. This is probably my least favorite of the three. Favorite songs were Now My Heart Is Full, The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get, and Speedway.

Rated 2/10

Can’t stand Morrisey.

Rated 8/10

The guy is a fucking prick, but he makes great music.

Ei musta Morriseyn paras levy, jää nappaamatta otteeseensa samalla tavalla kuin muut listalla olleet. Ihan ok kuitenkin, 2.5/5.

nooops

Rated 6/10

Great voice, but a piece of shit.

Rated 2/10

Not a chance I am listening to that Nazi prick - he has no place in this list, mostly because of his shit music - he just can't sing, or write good lyrics - but also because, and I can't stress this enough, he is a terrible conspiracy theorist and racist.

Rated 6/10

Ack! Morrissey again?! Just when you thought he couldn't possibly have another album on the list, there he is again, the King of the 3 star rating, staring straight at you from under his carefully groomed eyebrows.

Rated 8/10

I must have missed this album rating it. I know I listened to it, but I went ahead and listened again. It's still good.
