I like this more than the other bossa nova stuff I've heard here. Her vocals are definitely the part that sets it apart for me. They're so laid back but pretty. Instrumentally it still doesn't blow me away, but the increased focus on vocals makes that less of an issue for me.

Beautiful vocals, lyrics in various languages (including English), the absolute sound of a summer's day - but served to me on a cold Scottish November night!
A wonderful collection of songs, with a mildly irritating child turning up for a cameo half way through.

This album would be perfect elevator music or call center hold music. It's ok, but very boring. It all tends to run together and makes it hard to differentiate between the songs. It was perfect Sunday morning music to sit back and sip a coffee to, but it isn't something upbeat or interesting enough for me to really want to listen to again.

This was mostly good, but not great. A couple low points marred the album IMO; the marching bands of Parade and the kid's singing in You Didn't Have To Be So Nice. Also, I think some of these lose some of their charm when sung in English.

De las mejores cosas que tiene esta lista fuera de la música de UK y USA puede que sean los discos brasileños y africanos. Entretenido, pero no están sus mejores canciones aunque el arranque es un ejemplo de lo que todos pensamos que es la "música brasileña". Así que se queda con un aprobado dentro de esta lista.

This has that old record charm. That trumpet on The Face I Love. I wish this album was like 10x longer.

Well, this one is a bit all over the place. Some enjoyable songs, some weird ones (You Didn't Have To Be So Nice), and some pretty questionable singing in general tbh. Pleasant enough vibes overall, but not for me. Quite dated as well, this is such a 60s album. I read "August Is Wicked Month" recently, some of these songs would have soundtracked that perfectly! For some reason the Spotify link took me to a version of the album with 5 extra songs which appear to be from the album "A Certain Smile, A Certain Sadness" not sure if that's a Spotify issue or an issue with this app. I prefer the shorter 12 song version!
