Wild Wood

My head thought it was bland, but my feet kept tapping along. Maybe I should I reconsider a career in dentistry?

Very solid, some really nice sound.

Wasn't a Weller fan at the time, he was the Palpatine behind Noel Gallagher's Vader, and together they built a bowl-cut Death Star of dull mod music (OCEAN COLOUR SCENE). But I understand the appeal a little more now: Wild Wood is a British, post-punk take on singer-songwriters like JJ Cale and George Martin. As such, I think it just about stands on its own merits.

Nothing special, but it wasn't terrible either. 2/5

This was okay. It kind of reminded me of Jack Johnson's music. You know, the guy who did that one song for Curious George. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the best part of this album was the instrumental songs, as their sound was far more up my alley. Weird that this guy was in The Jam, from what I've heard this is nothing really like that.

A really pleasant listen. Not a masterpiece, just good music

Brilliant.
The drums are really interesting, and the rest of the music and lyrics really good too. Not the best Weller album, but very very good

I really like his voice, and the instrumentation here is honestly really great too. Fantastic, clear production. It's maybe not the most unique or original sound but it's executed incredibly well.

This is good morning music. I am finding it a useful tool to focus my energy where I want it after a grumpy start this morning. All The Pictures On The Wall is a good tune. Shadow Of The Sun is another one.

Really enjoyed this

Big fan of The Jam and Style Council. Not listened to much of his solo stuff though. It's alright.
