Indie Rock is by far my favorite genre....TVotR is one of those bands I have never been able to full embrace. Just not my jam completely. Not sure why I don't get it. 3/5

Nice album

Rated 8/10

Only ever heard a few TV on the radio songs all of which I liked, so was good to do a deeper dive into this album. This really is a great album love the vocals and the sonic differences between songs, instantly added to my frequent rotation.

Meh

Rated 10/10

I love this album, another one that I listened to a lot in college. It took me a while to get into it fully, but when it did it took hold! Especially love Dancing Choose, Golden Age, Family Tree and DLZ.

Varsin kiinnostavaa indierokkailua omalla soundillaan. En kuitenkaan ehkä ihan valtavasti innostunut, joten jätetään 3/5.

I enjoyed listening to this album. It's not perfect, and nothing grabbed me in that "you have to listen again right now" way, but overall I quite liked it.

Ah, the selection from our 2nd Album Club.

Rated 10/10

One of the highlights of post-Funeral, major label 00s indie. Can tell a lot of money has been spent on this, but it's all worthwhile. A generous 5 but this was a special album for me.

Rated 6/10

TV on the Radio were one of the more interesting bands of this era, and I liked that the indie genre became a bit more diverse. But this album seemed to have quite a lot of filler.

Rated 8/10

Really enjoyed this, hadn't heard of them before but will check out some of their other stuff.
Red dress and love dog were the stand out tracks for me.

Rated 6/10

Pretty good album. Weird choice over Return to Cookie Mountain though. I think the increased prevalence of synths on this one is the weakest aspect. Still got some great funk to it though.

Rated 6/10

Rated 8/10

I was so obsessed with their first EP and album when they came out. I really like their balance of instrumentation and electronics/samples. I think their greatest asset above all is Tunde Adebimpe's voice though. They are a great example of a sort of "post modern" band that don't come off too arty as to be inaccessible. Similar to Talking Heads perhaps in that way. Interesting combination of influences that ends up culminating in their own unique sound.

Yea this is cool. Its like a more electronic, funk inspired They Might Be Giants. Its just not striking me in the right way today.
