Let's be clear, it's not as overall good or polished as Black Sunday would be, you wouldn't expect it to be, but I had forgotten how much fun this album this, its a whole ass vibe of half remembered lyrics that came flooding back like a weird old friend. Its surprisingly wall to wall bangers here, overtly violent lyrics but fun as fuck cali beats beats make you forget how gangster Cypress Hill really were, but you'd never call them gangster rap...

Very 90s rap but very good 90s rap. Sometimes it's the vibe. For some reason Cypress Hill never stood out to me as much as some of their contemporaries but listening now I appreciate it more than I expected. The Latin vibes give it a bit of a unique spin.

Fun album

It's a classic for a reason

The perfect mash-up of NY and Cali hip-hop, from a band so influential they deserve far more credit. No massive hits on this album, but none the worse for it. Anyone who loves rap & hip-hop but doesn't rate Cypress Hill needs to have their sonic world expanded to include them.

Idk, I’m just not feeling it. I can hear that it’s not bad. I’m not the biggest rap fan but sometimes I really like it, and this isn’t one of the times. Not that I actively dislike it. Pretty clearly a three star for me.

I'm sure they are hard as hell or whatever. but it just sounds like stoners trying to prove they are bad ass. I'd probably give them a 4 but fags are way better than cops.

I didn't realize this was all Cypress Hill! Incredible! Truly OG's
Rated 4/10
Every song sounds exactly like a Cypress Hill song. I'm not sure I could differentiate one from another. Which is fine, but it is a lot for 14 songs.
Rated 8/10
Overall, I quite liked Cypress Hill. The songs were funky and upbeat without sounding too annoying (which is more than what some of the other hip hop albums i have looked at can do) and the rapping was pretty cool as well. I also found the usage of audio logs in some of the songs cool as well. This is definitely one of the better hip hop albums i have looked at.
Best Song: How I Could Just Kill a Man
Worst Song: Pigs
Rated 8/10
Funky and fun rather than "shoot loads of people and slap some hoes around"
Rated 6/10
I was always more of a Black Sunday guy, has a few of their classics though
Rated 2/10
More silly than intimidating now, apart from the homophobia, which is downright terrifying.
Rated 6/10
Ihan hauskaa tää west coast-räbä myös, vaikkei sinänsä ookaan mun genre. Sanotaan 2.5/5, pyöristetään ylös.
Rated 6/10
Good rap album, such a great flow and doesn’t sound as cringe as some of the other gangsta rap albums from the 90’s. Love I can just kill a man and the RATM cover of it.
Rated 4/10
Cypress Hill was one of the worst live acts I've ever seen (and it might not have been their fault, being the inbetweener set between MxPx and The Offspring makes no sense.)
I didn't really find much in this album for me. It's fairly repetitive and mostly uninteresting.
Rated 8/10
This album has this really rough, handcrafted feel. Even with the sampling, the lyrics are angular, plosive. They sit in odd spots in the mix. Its real nice. Psychobeatabuckdown.
