Rated 4/10

this feels like it goes on for an eternity, and the album is only 34 minutes

Rated 10/10

It referenced random NWA wrestlers, no notes, top marks excellent work. Also the bass was good.

Rated 6/10

Clearly not much effort went in to the writing of these songs, but the DIY sound is what punk is all about, and the songs are fun.

Rated 6/10

This album is supposed to be funny right? Because it's pretty funny. I love the satire, I love the intentionally (I hope...) stupid and sophomoric lyrics. The cover of Sonny and Cher made me laugh out loud. But the music is actually played well. Of all things it reminded me most of what we now have with Steel Panther, albeit tamer and a little more innocent. But in parodying the hard rock lifestyle in the 70s they sort of laid the groundwork for what would be punk.
I mean I like that this album is on the list, but if we were looking for an early punk album I think I'd pick something else. This one, though it isn't bad and does show what punk was like in the very early stages, does sound like a semi-talented high school band. Which I guess it was. And I guess that's the point. And that's where punk all came from anyway I suppose. As a concept, I think this is hilarious. I hope I didn't misunderstand this one, but I would call it a satirical, well played, and fun album that is not supposed to be taken seriously. For that, I think it was a success. As for a rating? I mean I probably won't listen to this again but I did enjoy it one time through. I don't know. I might come back to it now and then when I need something fun. 3.5/5 but will round down because I can't give it a 4.

Really loved the first song, the rest wasn't as good :(

Rated 8/10

Somehow people listened to this and said "yeah, this is a new genre" while it's basicly RocknRoll with funny lyrics. Anyways, better than most punk that came afterwards

Rated 8/10

Goofy and knowingly stupid; reminded me a little of Andrew WK.

Rated 6/10

The songs sound like good punk, the lyrics are silly and funny which is a good sign but for some reason I found the album a bit stale at fist.

After a second or third listen though I grew to love some songs, and it really changed my opinion on the album. The cover of I got you babe is quite unique and California sun, two tub man and I live for cars and girls are great songs. It’s a fun album.

Favourite song: California sun and two tub man are great songs.
Least favourite: Master race rock
Album artwork: Interesting cover

Rated 6/10

I liked it, short album, quite daft, but backed up with some decent 70s punk.

Rated 4/10

I didn't particularly take to this, and not just because the lyrics were a bit dubious. If it's proto-punk, it's proto-the kind of punk I don't really like. Low two.

Rated 8/10

Had never heard of, but quite enjoyed this one. Definite +0.5 for the album cover as well which is excellent. The early punk vibes are strong with this one - enjoyable thrashy nonsense

Rated 7/10

You know, for being one of the first punk albums ever, Go Girl Crazy does its job very well. The instruments and rhythm were all fun and lively and the album also cut a pretty fast pace which i really like in a punk album. Granted the lyrics are really stupid throughout a majority of the album but it is a punk album so you really shouldn't expect Shakespeare like lyrics from music like this. I really don't have too much left to say about the album, Its just a fun and good one that is worthy of a 3.5
Best Song: Master Race Rock
Worst Song: Two Tub Man

Rated 6/10

Funny, American punk. It was a lot of fun to listen to that. But it doesn't have to happen again.

Very interesting album. Can definitely see this album's influence on the future punk movement. 3/5

Rated 6/10

30 minutos y 9 canciones, perfecto para un viernes. Proto-punk con mejor sonido que muchos discos de los 90. Back to Africa, California Sun o Two tub man. Hay que oírlos.

Rated 8/10

Ridiculous and silly and a ton of fun. I loved it. On another day it might not have hit the same, but today it just hit right even though some of the lyrics are really stupid. I need some silly fun on a road trip.

Rated 8/10

I must definitely have something punk in me

I’m catching up on all the albums I couldn’t listen to on the very day the album generator showed them to me, and this is yet another album (they call it protopunk or a pioneer of that genre - I’m not sure!) that I really enjoyed; it’s a lot of fun to listen to

A solid 4 and a promise to come back to it soon ;-)
