Well that’s the horniest album on the list.

Rated 6/10

Nice to something a little more modern. A little samey for me.

Rated 8/10

Better on each listen and has something real to say. Shame the reviews are terrible just cause it's just cause it's not actually shit Beatles clone from the 70s

Wikipedia says “Heaux Tales” is R&B and hip-hop—basically everything I don't need. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised right at the beginning by a tasteful vocal arrangement. Unfortunately, this good impression is destroyed in most of the other songs by the pointlessly monotonous electro beats that were probably necessary for the hip-hop label. A pure vocal album by Jazmine Sullivan, on the other hand, could have been really good.
Still not quite my cup of tea, but it could have been much worse!

I have NEVER liked a skit from an album before this one. Candid and interesting.

That said, the absolute worst kind of music for me is mumbled rapping into a steel bucket with some kind of distortion effect. Fucking HATE, HATE, HATE that style.

There are some moments on this album that don't run afoul of my musical tastes, but I can't say I'd ever listen to this again, that I'm glad I heard it, or that I think it has any place on this list. I can say that it was blissfully short, and that for a message as important as Jazmine Sullivan's, I wish it came in more enjoyable packaging.

It was not really much, just r&b.

I have watched the Grammy’s every year since 2018. I remember this being nominated for a bunch of awards. I never listened to it. It just seemed to be one of those like a Jon Baptiste or a Jacob Collier where critics seem to like it but no one in reality actually listens. I liked it. The structure of going from spoken word interlude to a song that covers many of the same themes is interesting. Also this gets bonus points for being (I’m pretty sure) the only album in all 1089 on the list to feature Anderson. Paak. Her vocals are good and the instrumentals have a nice variety. Favorite songs were Pick Up Your Feelings, Price Tags, and The Other Side.

Rated 2/10

I do not know how to relate to or enjoy this. Worse, it’s objectively inessential.

I’d never heard of Jazmine Sullivan, so this was a good discovery. I liked this album a lot - frank, funny and short enough that it’s never in danger of wearing out its welcome.

Rated 6/10

Does this even qualify as an album? It's listed as an EP on some places. Still, this was pretty decent. Fresh combination of Neo Soul and some modern R&B influence. The short runtime really aided the pacing, even though the frequent skits made it a bit of a drag to get through at the end. It's something fresh in the list for sure, and a hell of a lot better than the other 2 2020's albums I've had so far.

Can appreciate the artistry, just not my jam

This type of album never does it for me….no matter how lauded it is. 1.5/5

I really hate these hypersexualized lyrics. It doesn't really matter if it's made by a male or a female artist - It just never sat right with me.. I don't need to hear about dripping pussy (or dicks).

The entire genre isn't really for me.

Rated 8/10

ou, gostosim demais!

super sexy, o r&b como espaço para mulheres negras falarem sobre sua sexualidade!! importante e chiquérrimo, bem feitim demais!

Rated 6/10

Eh, not too bad, but SZA just does it so much better, that I just really don't see any point in ever listening to this again.

Rated 4/10

I like the intention here, and Sullivan's voice is good, but ultimately I did not find the music here to be particularly memorable. Price Tags was the track I enjoyed most.

Rated 6/10

Not as bad as some of the reviews suggested, and I remain skeptical when fairly recent albums appear on this list. So, is this an essential album? Assuredly not, but that doesn't mean it's not worth a listen...

Rated 6/10

It was ok, it was nice to hear a more modern sounding record for a change, considering this list was made by an 80 year old whose music taste peaked in the 60s. It wasn't the best album but I actually enjoyed it. And the vocals are just mental.
