Feel like I'm missing something with this album, and maybe Prince in general
It was alright. One or two songs I quite enjoyed and that was about it. Never really liked purple rain! Didn't like his screeching though

I try to seperate the art from the artist, so I went into this one with an open mind
But jesus christ it was bad
The music itself wasnt too bad on some songs, so I did think of giving it another star just for that. But no, his whiny drivel was too much. The lyrics were so bad I can't look past it
"Hey you big fat pig" on the opening track was enough to cement my hatred in this album. Cringiest lyrics ever. And you know he thought he was so clever and edgy writing that

His voice is bad. This is my 2nd album of his and I'm shocked that he made this list not once - but twice at least
The smokers cough type of screaming on "Diamonds in the mine" was enough to drive anyone to insanity
This album really should be a 1 but some of the songs could have been really nice if sung by literally anyone else. The backing vocals also helped bump the rating up a tiny bit

Oof. Sadly did not enjoy this one
The off tune guitar strumming and heavy breathing really made it worse. Didn't really like his voice either

Terrible. Absolutely terrible
It was like bad stand up comedy over a jazz band. But he wasnt funny, and even his talking voice grated on me. And the audience laughing made it even worse, because his ramblings weren't even funny
I was begging for this one to end

I like some Nina Simone songs, but this album wasn't it
The first song was very good, but slowly went downhill. They got boring and all sounded the same. Not memorable in the slightest. I didn't like her voice at all on the slower songs
It's a shame because I was looking forward to this one
