I've never listened to them before but I dig it. I can definitely see their influence on post-hardcore as a whole especially considering this album's age. It feels very modern.

Yeasayer freaking ruled. I do prefer their later more electronic-influenced material but this album is still stellar. The more folky vibes are super interesting and work well for them.

I love this album. Wish I could've seen them live while Isaac was still in the band because I don't think they've quite captured the same magic since unfortunately. This still stands as their magnum opus to this day in my eyes. It really feels like the closest thing we've gotten to a true successor to Funeral since.
Rated 10/10
Insanely good album. I love The Mars Volta and this album has the same level of songwriting but in a generally more intense and punk style, which is just sick.
I'll never complain about more late 60s psychedelic rock. This is really fun. A bit more poppy than a lot of similar stuff I listen to but in an enjoyable way.

Super psychedelic and weird. I've heard about Shpongle but never listened and I'm definitely kicking myself. I love all the world influences mixed in as well.
Rated 6/10
Nothing super groundbreaking or memorable but still pretty solid alt rock. The vocals are nice and clean and there's some good production here.
Rated 6/10
Solid pop that does enough with creative structure and sound to make it stand out a bit from the pack. Ultimately it's not the style of music I frequently want to come back to but for its style it's done pretty well I think.
Rated 8/10
I dig the SUPER chill almost whispered vocals. They compliment the pretty instrumentals really well. This is great background music.
Rated 2/10
Yeah I'm not going to listen to a 2 hour long musical sorry.
Rated 10/10
One of my favorite albums of all time. The themes and instrumentals are both dark and brooding, but with just enough of a hint of hope to keep things from being entirely bleak. The cover art is incredibly provocative too.
Rated 10/10
This album is massively underrated by the Tool fanbase in my eyes. While I do agree with the common criticism that it doesn't have their strongest lyricism, the guitars and drums are absolutely impeccable. I love the entire vibe of the album as well. I'm hoping that the same thing that happened with 10,000 Days will happen here where opinions will improve over time because it deserves it.
Rated 10/10
Hot take apparently but this is my favorite Sum 41 album. I think the songwriting is much more mature than All Killer No Filler. It's super emo but still has a lot of gorgeous moments.
Rated 2/10
Boring butt rock. Very weird inclusion.
Rated 10/10
My personal favorite Danny Brown album. I think it contains his deepest lyricism and the beats are dark and interesting throughout.
Rated 10/10
I used to listen to Tom Petty a lot with my dad when I was a little kid so I have a lot of nostalgia for his music. This album is really beautiful with amazing songwriting.
Rated 10/10
One of the best to ever do it. While this isn't my personal favorite TMBG album I definitely get why it's their biggest one. It's just fantastic from front to back.
Rated 8/10
I've been getting more into Billy Strings lately but hadn't listened to this one yet. It's really great as I've come to expect. MORBUD4ME cracked me up.

Those first three Vampire Weekend albums are so iconic. I go back and forth between them on which is my favorite but overall I think Contra is probably the one. It's got a perfect mix of the youthful goofiness of the debut with the more mature songwriting of MVOTC.
Rated 4/10
Too country for me. It's not quite to the level of modern stuff that makes me turn it off immediately but it's not far.
