Mediocre grunge. These guys are actually partly responsible for starting the genre.

This is garbage. Apparently this is Sonic Youth's goth phase, so it's like goth crossed with shoegaze and alt rock, but really it's just noise. I'm sure a class of 2 Yr olds could make better music. I don't get this fad of noise rock. Untalented fuck-tards just wailing on musical instruments.

A very powerful album signifying the importance of strength through unity. The album focuses on the theme of racism, and was released shortly after the death of George Floyd. SAULT released the album initially for free with all proceeds from subsequent sales going to charity. They released a second album, "Untitled (Rise)", 13 weeks later which continued the theme of this album.
SAULT are known as a "music collective" moreso than a band. Their style could be called neo-soul with electronic/house influences. There are elements of R&B, jazz, funk, electronica, and soul in this music. It is a harmony of so many different styles that it is hard to nail down. Part of the beauty of this album though is the fact that so many genres and styles of music can come together to speak out in unity about systemic racism and police brutality.

First time I ever heard Tom (and knew who I was listening to) was the first album of his I had on this generator... Heartattack and Vine. Ever since I've been a huge fan! He's so experimental with what he does which keeps it fresh. I love his dirty blues style!!

Today's album is indie rock, similar to Arcade Fire or Fleet Foxes, but more gothic maybe.... Dude sounds uninterested in singing, so he more moans than sings which is big with goths. By the end of the album, the bands style was starting to grow on me, and upon second listen I started to appreciate it a bit more.

These guys wrote 3 of the songs that Nirvana played on their MTV Unplugged record (Plateau, Oh Me, and Lake of Fire... All of which are on this record). These guys are an odd genre. Sometimes it's straight grunge, other times it's like country mixed with punk or grunge.... Which I've learned has a classification.... It's called cowpunk.... What an awesome name. I don't mind this stuff, as long as you ignore the fact that the singer can't sing... Like at all. I'm Not Here is a good example of that "cowpunk" style. It sounds like Johnny Cash on speed.

This album starts out heavier to the trip hop side of things and it's pretty good. After about 4 songs, it strays heavier into the ambient/trance styles and kinda goes downhill for me... I'm not on enough Ecstasy to enjoy random noises.

This album is fucking beautiful. Nick Cave wrote it after his son died. It's super heavy and emotional, understandably so.

Wikipedia classes Nitin as Asian underground, which upon further research, makes sense.... Asian underground is a term associated with Asian musicians (in this case, British Indian) who fuse traditional Asian music with Western underground dance music, like trip hop or drum and bass styles.

Oh my fuck jazz is boring. It all sounds like elevator hold music. And Miles Davis' music in particular drives me nuts. I know the dude revolutionized jazz, but a trumpet has to be the most annoying sounding instrument ever. Even moreso than bagpipes. This whole album just kind of ran together for me, and I can't really say there was a stand out track on it. It was all just a monotonous jumble of piano, rat a tat drums, and brass instruments. I may have dozed off a few times throughout, but how would you know...
Overall, much better than Bitches Brew, but still so far out of my wheelhouse. May be ok as background music in a fancy restaurant, but I would never just sit and listen to a jazz record..... Ever.....
Favourite songs: All Blues
Least favourite songs: I don't really know.... It all sounded the same, and I didn't really care for any of it.
2/5...i mean, the artists have talent, that's for sure, but it's just so dry...

Second album of hers I've had. I had heard Paper Planes before. It's interesting. She's Sri Lankan and mixes world music with hip hop and electronica. So it's like a world trip hop fusion. Its not bad at all.

U2 is just so.... bland. Like Dollar Store soft rock. I have an irrational hatred of that band, and I don't really know why. I just never liked them. Maybe it's because the radio constantly played their music and it just got washed out to me, maybe it's because Bono is an insufferable douche canoe, who knows... This album had a really strong start as far as U2 goes. 5 of their hits in a row.

This album can't decide what genre of music it wants to be. This is the second Super Furry Animals album I've got on this generator, the first being Fuzzy Logic, their debut album. This one feels more cohesive at least, but still couldn't hold my interest. I don't see much of a difference between this and the plethora of other boring britpop bands that this generator seems to love. The cover art looks like something a 9 year old created in MS Paint in 2 minutes.
