This album sounds like if Don Henley, Tom Petty, and Bob Dylan got together and did a collaboration, this would be the result. It's modern indie rock with those 80's-90's flairs. Really solid. I enjoyed this album so much, I explored some more of The War on Drugs' catalog, and haven't heard a bad song yet!

Favourite songs: Red Eyes, Eyes to the Wind, Lost in the Dream, Under the Pressure, In Reverse, An Ocean I Between the Waves, Burning, Disappearing

Least favourite songs: The Haunting Idle

These guys sound like The Beach Boys meets The Flaming Lips, Sloan, or Oasis. Solid indie rock with banjo and mandolin.

Favourite songs: One Horse Town, Big Sur, Don't Steal Our Sun, Santa Cruz (You're Not That Far), Your Love Is Like Las Vegas, "Old Friends, New Lovers", 'Til The Tide Creeps In, Just Travelling Through

Least favourite songs: Hollywood Kids, Plans

A bit too much sampling for my tastes. It happens so often, the flow of the song gets constantly interrupted for some random news clip or random noises.

Favourite songs: Fight the Power, Welcome to the Terrordome, Burn Hollywood Burn, Who Stole the Soul?, Brothers Gonna Work It Out

Least favourite songs: Meet the G That Killed Me, Pollywanacraka

Kate is a hell of a poet, but there is a bit of a disconnect between her music and her lyrics. This is easily the best Kate Bush record of the 3 I've listened to thus far on this generator.

I'm learning to understand this era of pop a bit more the more I proceed through this generator. I still don't care for it much, but I get it. If I had been the right age when this stuff was getting a lot of radio play, I probably would have been more receptive to it. Like when Running Up That Hill gained traction in the charts again because of Stranger Things.... That song is an ear worm. I found myself humming it for days!

Jig of Life is a fucking banger! Completely unlike anything else on the record. It went from 80's pop to a Celtic jig in a jiffy!

Favourite songs: Jig of Life, Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God), The Big Sky, Cloudbusting

Least favourite songs: Mother Stands For Comfort, Under Ice, Waking the Witch

Favourite songs: Howlin' For You, Tighten Up, She's Long Gone, Next Girl, Sinister Kid, Everlasting Light, Ten Cent Pistol

Least favourite songs: Unknown Brother

There is no need for this self centered, egotistical fuck to have at least 3 albums on this list ffs. This depressed, bleeding heart douche is so busy telling everyone how great he is and how he's better than everyone else... It's sickening. To quote Come Back to Camden:

"and I remember that I am alone
Alone
For evermore"

... I wonder why, you insufferable douche canoe.

Favourite songs: The First of the Gang to Die, The World is Full of Crashing Bores

Least favourite songs: America Is Not the World (go eat a hamburger and calm the fuck down you pretentious ass hat.... Morrissey is not the world either I'm sad to tell ya), "Irish Blood, English Heart" (oooh, tough guy Morrissey can't be bought.... Fuck off), I Have Forgiven Jesus (he's also apparently better than religion), I'm Not Sorry, How Can Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel? (no one cares), All the Lazy Dykes

Thank fuck that's over...

Tori Amos is like if Sarah McLachlan, Alanis Morissette, and Kate Bush had a kid. It's quirky and weird like Kate Bush, slightly depressing like Sarah McLachlan, and her singing is like Alanis Morissette. The more I listen to her, the better it gets, it's just quirky as hell.

Favourite songs: Crucify, Happy Phantom, Winter, Leather, Tear in Your Hand

Least favourite songs: Mother, Me and a Gun

This album is solid, but it's also 2 albums in one, meaning runtime is 2hrs 15mins, so it overstays its welcome a bit for sure. So there are 2 members of Outkast: Andre 3000 and Big Boi. The first album, Speakerboxxx, was written and produced by Big Boi. It's standard hip hop. Solid. The second album, The Love Below, was written and produced by Andre 3000. It's more R&B oriented hip hop with lots of skits about love and banging. So if it was just Speakerboxxx, it'd have been a solid record, but the second half pulls it down for sure.

Favourite songs: Roses, Hey Ya!, Flip Flop Rock, Last Call, Knowing, The Way You Move, Tomb of the Boom, Bowtie, GhettoMusick

Least favourite songs: Bamboo, E-Mac, Interlude, D-Boi, Bowtie (Postlude), God, Where Are My Panties, "Good Day, Good Sir", The Letter (fuck skits), She's Alive

Knee jerk reaction was that these guys reminded me of Quiet Riot. Turns out that popular Quiet Riot song, Cum On Feel The Noize, was actually written by Slade. These guys are like hard rock lite. The music just feels a bit unfinished. I'm not sure what it's missing, but there's something lacking. That's not to say the music is bad, it's just a bit lighter than I'm used to with this genre.

Favourite songs: Gudbuy T'Jane, "I'm Mee, I'm Now, An' That's Orl", Let The Good Times Roll/Feel So Fine, How D'You Ride, The Whole World's Goin' Crazee, Mama Weer All Crazee Now, My Life is Natural

Least favourite songs: Candidate

Reminds me of the band I had a while ago, Madness. I never really understood the appeal of ska. Its like reggae lite. British people seem to love it, but I just don't. It's all just kind of bland. The highs are high on this record, but the lows are super low, and tend to drag the rest of the album down with them. The album runs out of steam after Sock It To 'Em J.B. and never really recovers.

Favourite songs: Enjoy Yourself (It's Later Than You Think), Sock It To 'Em J.B., Hey Little Rich Girl

Least favourite songs: Man at C&A, Stereotype/Stereotype Pt. 2

I don't really understand certain songs on this album. With some songs, the hip hop/rap is not about flow or rhyme scheme at all, which is all I'm used to, so I find them abrasive and annoying. Kendrick takes so many random breaks in the middle of songs, or completely changes the direction of the song, I just really don't get the appeal. When I listen to an album, I want to listen to music, not a documentary, or an interview. It's a shame, because the actual music is solid, but the whole album is pulled down by these "commercial breaks" that he constantly takes.

Favourite songs: The Blacker the Berry, Wesley's Theory, How Much A Dollar Cost, King Kunta, Hood Politics

Least favourite songs: For Free?, For Sale? (Interlude), u, i (I would have enjoyed this song if it wasn't for the like 2 mins of spoken word at the end of the song. That happens too much in Kendrick's music), Mortal Man (same complaint as "i" above)

Before today the only Fun Lovin' Criminals song I was familiar with was Scooby Snacks. It was literally everywhere in the 90's. I was interested to find out if they were just a one hit wonder, or if there was some more gems on this record. Turns out it was the latter. These guys are like Beastie Boys Lite.... Kinda that hip hop/rock stuff that was big in the 90's.

Overall, a pretty enjoyable record. Definately one I will revisit in the future!

Favourite songs: Scooby Snacks, The Fun Lovin' Criminal, Bear Hug, Passive/Aggressive, Bombin' the L, Crime and Punishment

Least favourite songs: Methadonia, We Have All The Time In The World

This person's review summed this album up perfectly:

"... this is a side of the Beastie Boys I'd never heard before. I was expecting something more along the lines of "Licensed to Ill" or "Paul's Boutique", but this is something completely different. This isn't a rap album with jazz and funk influences, this is a jazz album with funky raps played over it. When "Sabrosa" came on halfway through, I had to double-check that I was still listening to the same album."

Favourite songs: Sabotage, Sure Shot, Get It Together, Root Down, Tough Guy, Bodhisattva Vow, Flute Loop, Shambala

Least favourite songs: The Update

The dude who made this group is one of the members of Massive Attack apparently who broke off and did his own thing. This is like hip hop meets electronica.... So trip hop I guess. Not bad at all. I've been listening to Maxinquaye all day. Not because it's long, but because it's chill as fuck.

Favourite songs: Black Steel, Overcome, Brand New You're Retro, Ponderosa, Abbaon Fat Tracks, Aftermath

Least favourite songs: Hell Is Round The Corner, Pumpkin, Strugglin'

Fuck yes, I Remember these guys! Lead singer is like a young Axl Rose. I loved this album in university. It's unapologetic 00's glam metal. It was so weird to hear a new band take on a genre that was so popular in the 70's-80's. This gave me the same wow factor that I got the first time I heard Greta Van Fleet.

Favourite songs: Love On the Rocks With No Ice, I Believe in a Thing Called Love, Get Your Hands Off My Woman, Growing On Me, Stuck in a Rut, Makin' Out, Black Shuck, Givin' Up, Love Is Only A Feeling, Friday Night

Least favourite songs: if forced to pick, Holding My Own

This album was really good. Super interesting. 80s synth pop flair with soul based vocals and some touches of jazz instrumentals from time to time. Really weird in a good way.

Favourite songs: Look at You Now, Money's Too Tight (To Mention), Holding Back The Years, Open Up The Red Box, Jericho, Sad Old Red, Come To My Aid, Heaven, No Direction
