Holy crap could Ravi shred. The end of Dádrá is wild. My thing with Indian traditional music is that I just have no attachment to the Ragas. I have no context, so it's all over my head any my head. And it takes a long ass time to get anywhere.

The maggot brain guitar solo is one of the greats. The groove and funk is really thorough, but maybe a little looser than I prefer. I like the tight concentration of Parliament, and Funkadelic always feels a little looser and more shambolic.

I mean honestly for a Zappa album it's kind of restrained. It is super cool to see this album as an evolutionary step in rock coming out of the blues and the freak scene in the west coast in the 60's. I'm deducting a star for 12 minutes of noodling being the last song.

Sure. This album was alright. The vocals are soooo drrrryyyyyyy. Which I guess makes them cut more in the mix but yeah this was sort of a dud for me.

Woah back to back prodigy albums! This album is full of big fat juicy hooks and solid grooves. Diesel power is great. this album hits so fucking hard.

What a totally killer electronic album. Flûtes and Ends Of The Earth are two stellar tracks. The closer is a really strong one as well

Cool dark goth synth vibes. A little distracted this morning with this listen. Worth revisiting.

The drum work on this is incredible. See Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime). Dollar Days is ascendant.
